The 19 is perfect for guarding those pies.My first attempt at making mincemeat pies for Christmas this morning. My Mother always made these for Christmas and now that's she's gone I figured I would give it a try.
Making the shortcrust dough was pretty easy, I did that yesterday. Rolling it out and filling is a bit fussy but also not too hard.

Turned out pretty good if I don't say so myself

Enjoy that excuse to be lazy Kurt. The horn is sweet. Some much needed rain has been coming down heavy here. I did my errands and anticipate being indoors the rest of the day. I love it. I got the holiday lights on to help me get into holiday spirit.

Good looking Lamb today. Looks like some really nice weather to enjoy.
Looking forward to those photos! Thanks Todd, it's more scenic in the area closer to my hotel. I'm hoping I get a few decent pics, with the very bright sunshine, and my photochromic lenses, it's nigh on impossible to see anything more than my reflection in the camera screen!![]()
Hard to beat BBQ and a lamb.Last day of work till after Christmas!!!!! Regular day at work accept we all pitched in for BBQ at the local smokehouse. Got Jack’s ‘19 lamb in the pocket. Have a great day, Guardians.

Impressively dark!
Mine are Lekis too Jer (I only have one pair left, having given the others away over time). It must be 10 years since I last used them. I've got a cupboard full of crampons!I have a few pair of those. I've been using this short one for our few ice days so far, though I have proven myself capable of falling on ice even with two sharp-toed trekking poles.

Along the way, I had a strange encounter with a couple of Spanish lads in their late teens, I would guess, outside one of the Rubicon shopping centres. They hailed me in Spanish, addressing me as amigo, which seemed a little strange considering our age difference. After I spoke to them, they asked if I was English, and when I said yes, they both threw their arms up, saying "Yay! That's what we like! We love the English!" Then, they both shook my hand very warmly, wished me a good day in Spanish, and went off chatting excitedly! I thought maybe they had had a bet on my nationality or something!![]()
Grabbed Gidge for Wooden Wednesday. So many beautiful lambs added recently, both new and old, are really spicing up the photos!
Enjoy your travels, Jack, it looks nice there.

LOL!I got new tires (or tyres, for our British and antipodean Guardians) on my truck today. While waiting, Scout and I walked around the Target store next door to the tire place. I may or may not have bought myself a Christmas present that I had previously said I didn’t need to spend the money on.Katalox Albers in my pocket today.

Those look tasty, Steve! It’s great to carry on traditions like that. I have to make some of my grandma’s cookies soon. I usually make two or three batches, give some to the neighbors, and enjoy the rest ourselves.
