Thanks Dwight, most of the old Sambar we managed to source during that period had already been cut for steak knives, and the pieces were too short for a standard Lamb, without an extended bolster, and for a swayback, unless it was the shorter (eg AC) size

LOL! Sorry about that bizarre typo Dwight! I need to change phones, this one has started changing text, in a very strange way, usually at the last minute, as I post For example, every time I type 'isn't' , the phone changes it to 'isn't"t'. It's actually an old phone I went back to, but I, remember now I had some really weird experiences with it, where it would take on a mind of it's own, and start very rapidly opening programmes, deleting things, typing gobbledegook, it even sent a couple of emails and texts. It was certainly the strangest thing I've ever experienced with a phone. A factory re-set got rid of the problem, but it might be time to throw it in the bin, and switch over to my other phone, which isn't haunted or possessed!

Happy 4th everyone. Had to go with an American lamb today. Always a pleasure to carry a Charlie lamb. Played a round with my dad and relaxing now waiting for some smoked Brats .

The amount of different and amazing new Lambsfoot Knives being produced now is stunning! I think we all need to thank you for this awakening of this amazing pattern, I remember myself walking past the Lambsfoot pattern many times, and not really "clicking" but then it hit me and I love them, Charlie too with his input of his takings of the Lambsfoot Knife- This is SUCH a great place to be.

That curly Katalox is some very interesting wood. It looks to be super tight grain. Does it seem to be extra hard?

It is interesting, Dwight. Depending on the light it can look fairly plain, but has some nice subtle character in the right light. Here’s an alternate pic I took yesterday.

It does seem to be quite hard, and according to Google it has a Janka hardness of 3660, which is pretty high.
