Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Striking photo Dwight, you capture that Damascus like nobody else
Thanks my friend!
Afternoon Guardians! Hope y'all are doing well. Cloudy and cool. Chance of 🌧️ today. Blue Lamb 🐑 is out and about.

I love these colored lambs David. :) (and the jigging)
😁
listening to a large local choir,
Where was the choir from Jack?
I would have preferred somewhere warm and cosy, with an open fire
Which makes me ask. Are there fireplaces in most of the pubs? And do most homes have them?
Nice pic of a beauty
Thanks buddy!
A Doe we ran into this morning.
Did Cassie give chase?
Thanks Jack, sounds you still had a good time.
Most the independent breweries are basically forced out of business by bureaucracy and government beer taxes.
Politicians and weatherman cloned throughout the world!
This 1 is for everyone but Dwight is going to love it
Your are so right my friend! I love it!!! :D:D:D
I was just going to comment on the rich rose hint in the stag. I see you answered it to Steve. Red shirt. Gorgeous lamb pic Bob.
Morning Guardians! Hope your off to a good start. Happy trails!

Very cool friction folder David.
Good afternoon Guardians !

Albert Oates today

Texture heaven.

Sometimes, simple unadulterated is best. Nice Dwight.
True that my friend. Less can be more...
Great looking lamb Dwight. Have you battened down the hatches for Beryl?
Thanks brother. Pretty much yes. Clouds moved in overnight, rain started around 10 a.m. very heavy at times. I reckon you guys are gettin rocked pretty good! How hard are the winds blowing?
Nice shot of your AC Lamb !
Gracias.
Beautiful
Gracias.

Found a new use for the Lambsfoot blade, in fact it is though it was designed for this activity. The Lambsfoot blade is an all round work/agricultural knife, very similar to horticultural knives, a friend of mine just returned home from her rural retreat with some fresh chestnuts that she purchased from a local farm as they are in season here now. They explained how to prepare them for cooking, you have to score a cross into the shell otherwise they will explode when being cooked. They also explained the danger of using most knives for doing this because if the knife slips you will slice your hand open, they suggested a stanley knife or similar. I showed her a Lambsfoot that i had in my pocket, it was ideal for the job, the point of the blade pierced the shell then the sharp edge sliced through easily once the procedure was started. Now i am minus a Lamb from my mob, i gifted her the knife. We now have have a new Lambsfoot convert, she will carry it on her when she is at her bush property at all times now.

I like the walking stick. Looks like your coffee person has improved. 👍
Thanks Pat,
Yeah there a couple of good makers now. It seems they have gone down the route of employing kids as they cost less. We have our own Cafe, that is run by the wife.
Has a real mixed bag of ages. Hard to get good workers. Some are just a joke. Couple weeks ago 1 Young worker texted Kristy saying she couldn't make the 12pm start could she start at 11am. Due to bus timetable
Kristy replied well you'll just need to come in early and have early lunch(staff eat free meals) as the roster was done and not paying an extra hour. Needles to say couldn't do that and didn't turn up for the shift, second missed shift in less than a week.
We had 1 tell everyone going to 18th Saturday night but will right to work early shift Sunday morning. Kristy gets a text early Sunday morning from the person advising the person has a virus and can't come in😒 Kristy didn't get that day off.

a great story Leon, sounds the appropriate tool😎

Yeah, no doubt mate! :D Thanks, that brewery has gone bust twice in 2024

They must’ve given 2023 all they had. 🤣

This 1 is for everyone but Dwight is going to love it

That’s great! 😁 I like how the girl in the beginning and the shark are spared, but Quint still doesn’t make it. 🤣

Well done Leon! I think you’ve officially risen to the rank of Lambsfoot Disciple.

I got to meet up with my friend and fellow Guardian H herder for a couple beers this afternoon. Had to get the Lambsfoot double shot before we tucked into the chips and dip. 🙂

Where was the choir from Jack?
I think they were just local Dwight :) I forget their name. and it's not listed on the poster I found online

They still very common in pubs, and a welcome sight in the winter :) Generally, fireplaces are much less common in homes here, than in the past, but they are common where I live. Most folks burn wood, but the government are trying to stop it. Tool Man has a stove, which he's very fond of. I've helped him gather wood in the past, but last winter he was burning a load of coal he shovelled out of an old school cellar. I'm afraid I only get to burn wood outdoors, and it's been raining so long now my wood pile is probably over-seasoned

It's great to see both sides of your AC my friend :)

Very generous Leon :)
Brian and some color for a dreary winter's day.

Looking good Mitch :)

LOL! :D I know the blokes who owned it, 20 years ago they just had a bar, but over the years, they added a dozen more, along with 2 breweries. Their brand seemed to be very successful, so it was a huge surprise when they suddenly went bust, earlier in the year. Apparently, the new brewery was just costing them too much. It looked like everyone was going to lose their jobs, but fortunately, another local brewery stepped in, bought everything for a token amount of a few thousand, took on the debts, and a deal was agreed where the 2 founders were employed running the brewery I was in the other day (not that they need the work, they're both millionaires). I don't know what happened, but a couple of months later, another bail-out was needed

Looks like the makings of a great afternoon 🍻😊
Surprisingly I had tomato for lunch 🫣
Not like you Mitch! :D Nice shot :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is OK, and staying safe from Storm Beryl. The rotten weather continues here, with heavy rain throughout the night, and forecast for the whole of today. I might have to brave it later, but for now, I'm just going to catch up with some work indoors ;) Have a good day Guardians
