What a day!
Julie would be envious of those strawberries. The first time we visited England (around this time of year, actually, 7 years ago) she said the strawberries she had were better than any she’s ever had here.
We had a Ray Stevens VHS when I was a kid that we probably just about wore out. “DON’T LOOK, ETHEL!!”
Congrats, Jack!In the past I’ve put together some sort of special photo or post celebrating milestones such as this, but I completely dropped the ball on that this time around. So, instead, I’ll just repurpose this photo that I posted when we hit 2,000 pages.

There we go, I think that math adds up.
Probably ought to celebrate 100,000 posts, too…

Seriously, though, thanks to Jack and all the other Guardians for every y’all do to make this thread the unique and wonderful little community within a community that it is.Long Live the Lambsfoot!

Gorgeous wood on that lamb, it's definitely one of my favorites!I’ll go the whole hog with my short history.
Now time being relative, I’m only 33 but I’ve been around lambs on and off my whole life which seems like a long time to me. I’ve mentioned before on this thread that one of my fond memories as a kid on our small family farm was sitting in dads Ute as he’d take the lambsfoot out of the ashtray where it lived and cut off a slice of venison salami from a deer he’d shot and pass it around to my brother and I.
I got a fixed blade in my mid teens and between that, discovering girls etc. gradually found other priorities.
Few years later I developed an affinity for things of old. As an example I’m a mad keen hunter but prefer the history and challenge of flintlock muzzleloaders so choose them as my weapon. I also lost interest in modern folders/fixed blades and eventually made it around to this forum and quickly came across the guardians thread. The nostalgia of my young(er) years came back and I soon bought my own first lamb.
I hadn’t had it too long when I was out at the old mans and I showed him. Obviously the nostalgia ran deep, I could tell he was chuffed with it as he’d long misplaced his and said he’d kept an eye out for one at second hand shops and whatnot for years but never seen one. My father is not tech savvy and searching the web let along buying something there is far beyond him.
It was his birthday not long after so I decided to gift it to him. So after a short time back in the lamb world I was again lambless.
But thanks to the generosity of this forum not for long. I mentioned this story and very soon had three or four members of the group offer to send one out to me. I accepted the first person gratefully and thanked but declined the rest. The lamb @sf fanatic gifted me lives in the centre console of my Ute and comes with my every day.
I sure would love this knife but as a very small way toward repaying the kindness Dan has shown me I’d like to nominate him @sf fanatic .
Good luck to all and cheers to another 100k posts
EDIT: I didn’t see the part where they have to enter first, I’ll nominate myself until he enters and then yield to him so I can keep the post up.

Congrats on the milestones Jack! It's always a treat to look through this thread and see the beautiful collection of lambs, but the fellowship shared by the members is what's so special. Thanks for letting me hang around Jack, and thank you to all the Guardians.

I'm carrying good ole ebony today. Have a good Friday all!
