Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good evening Guardians. Been a very busy day for me today and just getting my feet back on the ground now. Been carrying my HHB. My favorite knife. Obtained from Charlie C based on his kindness. Very special to me.

Handsome HHB
Evening time here. Good night gents...
Luxurious 🐑👍🤠

With all the recent excitement and activity around here, I completely forgot to post this other new Lambsfoot addition I got in the mail yesterday.

I’ve wanted one of these Albers Lambs in Ringed Gidgee for a while now. These were released on the same drop (Eric’s second Lambsfoot drop, I believe) as the Afzelia Burl, and I opted for that one instead. I certainly don’t regret that decision — the Afzelia Burl, in addition to being my first Albers Lambsfoot, has been my favorite and most carried one — but the Ringed Gidgee was a close second for me on that drop, so I’m happy to have one now. 🙂 (It may be a while, though, before it kicks the 2024 Guardians Lamb out of my pocket!) 😁

Stunning, gidgee produced a beautiful knife.

Looks like it dripped off of your handles onto your thumbnail 😎👍
🤣. I’ve only told a couple of people about my unfortunate “don’t put your thumb in the fork in a slingshot, shot me self and caused my wife to laugh hysterically incident” from 6-7 weeks ago but here I am. 🤣🙌 healing slowly. Very slowly.

Awesome GA Bob and congratulations Dan! I would have guessed 66
Be still my beating heart. 💥
A sunny morning here. I enjoyed my walk and took the GL-24 out for the first time. That micarta is beautiful and full of character. Here’s the pile side.

Gorgeous Kurt! Reminds of tracer ammo for some reason. 🤠🤔
I checked the tracking this morning Leon, and it indicated that the item had just arrived in the country, and was being processed. I went out to the post office, and while I was out, they tried to deliver it! 😖 The good news is, I should have it by lunchtime tomorrow :)

It's a common tattoo Jack :) As you know, the War of Roses were complex, and while the House of York had a white rose, and the House of Lancaster, a red one, both sides were supported in Yorkshire

Not too far away: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Towton

Sounds perfect Mitch :) Thank you my friend

Thank you very much Bob :)

Wonderful photos of your Grim Reaper :) I have been posting here a long time, and I have seen lots of mushroom pics before, but I think the top pic may well be a first :)

Reapers? :D ;)

Nice Jer :)

That's cool Jack :)

Thanks Steve :)

Stunning Steve

So cool! :)

Very interesting David :) The nearest I've been to the oil game, apart from being friends with a one-time olive oil importer, is Barry The Original Ted's tales of his oil-drilling adventures in South America in the 60's. I did once know a bloke called Derek though :D ;)

As we say in Yorkshire: "Be reight!" :D ;)

Nice to see that one mate :)

Thank you David, it means a lot to me :) Carnival usually starts off Friday evening, and runs through to Monday evening :)

Yes, most threads slowly fade away :) Nice photo Gary

Do you mean @Fodderwing was pulling my leg about guessing the exact number?! 😖🤣 Congratulations to @CelloDan :) I love that pic Bob :)

Another cool photo Dwight :)

Great to see you here Paul, I'm really enjoying seeing 'old' Guardians call in this week :)

Beautiful photo Kurt, that's a real nice one

I was just thinking about that run this morning Dan, lovely pic :)

I had just returned home to find I'd missed my delivery, when I got a text from a guy I don't see too often, but bumped into earlier, asking if I fancied a pint if I was still in town. I told him I was at home, but offered to meet him at our local. We hadn't been chatting long, when he began to tell me about having his heart broken, at the grand age of 52! He had had a friendship with a woman for the past 4 years, and they went to a local hippy festival together at the weekend, where he finally confessed his feelings for her. Unfortunately, within a few hours, she became entranced by some skate-boarder, with muscles and blond highlights  Obviously, while empathising, I spent a good deal of time, making him laugh, and advised him to sell his ticket for the Pixies gig they were going to next week, and not lock himself in his bedroom listening to Diana Ross tracks :D I just sent him a link to this ;) 🤣

I hope everyone is having a great day :) It feels like Christmas Eve here! :D:thumbsup:
Jack, Pixies? I took the wife recently and Met up with my best friend from high school. Had a blast even though it was smoking hot at the venue. IMG_9252.jpeg

More pockets please!!
Beauty Barrett.

After taking this picture I realized that a pile-side shot of a lamb, the most defining characteristic of which is the enchanting wood grain on its mark side, was bound to fall flat in the face of the excitement surrounding 100,000 posts, 5,000 pages, lambs dominating the conversation at high-society galas, GL-24, and an array of incredible lambfoot-based giveaways. Alas, here it is:

MK8cVHk.jpeg

It is very nice too, but I don't expect anyone who has seen the other side to be overly impressed.

I wonder what kind of wood that is. Oak? Witch's broomstick? Off-cut from Brian May's fireplace mantle? I guess I'll just never know. Sure do wish these knives came with provenance.... or could talk.
Looks good to me buddy :) Great pic
"Cowboy Up Cupcake!" :D Cool pic David :)
I'll join this.

I don't remember if I posted these in this thread already or not. This is from earlier this summer. This was my first. It's been all over the world with me. A dozen countries while in the military. This photo was taken from the top of Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park in California.

AiNuHS9.jpeg

Here's an old picture of it in Europe with me. At breakfast. It's pictures like this that remind me why I got out of the army. 🤣

Hot dogs and a boiled egg for breakfast haha

Anyways, it's one of my most often carried knives. And would be of the few knives I would instantly rebuy if I lost or broke it.
Welcome aboard :) I actually remember that breakfast pic! It does not look appetising! :D I'm sure Johnnythefox Johnnythefox will have some experience of 'Square Egg' ;)

I believe the greatest honour for a knife is to be used, this old girl has had a very honoured life!
I always liked the stamped “real lambsfoot” this one is a “mb foot” at this point but close enough!

20mm of much needed rain over the past few days. I’m not sure how you sure rain in imperial system stateside, maybe 1/3 of a Dixie cup 😂
That's got some really character Jack  I've seen a lot that are worn to that extent, you don't see it with any other pattern :D I'm glad you got some rain
I've been sick and incapacitated most of the summer and only just now getting back to BF'ing. Sorry to have missed the group knife during the illness, wish I'd popped in before now... been wanting to get ahold of an Albers Lambsfoot for a while, and if you know me elsewhere on the forum you know vintage linen micarta is what I commission on my customs because I just love it. At any rate, these turned out spectactular and each one looks better than the next. Here's a long overdue check-in with a little blast from the past from some of my modified Navy Knife > Lambsfoot conversions for old time sake.

And here's a little mockup that pushed me over the edge to do it. I didn't like the proportions of the spear, and the pattern just seemed like a natural for the modification. The EO notch allowed me to loose the nail nick while remaining the blade expecially Lamb-y.

39211403485_2117f2cb0f_b.jpg

At any rate, congratulations to the Guardians, to Jack, to Eric Albers, and to all of you who now have these beautiful treasures to cherish! Be well everyone.
I'm very sorry to hear you've been so ill Andrew :( You still have time to enter my 2 giveaways  Can you please removed the Clip from your post please, just Lambsfoot knives here? Thanks
One more for the day, just pulled up to meet a farmer and couldn’t resist. One for the lamb, one for the view.

Great pics, that's quite a vista! :)
Jack, you should get to the theater - England has such a great tradition and usually very high quality productions too. I have always loved theater and have been going ever since I was in high school.
Perhaps I can go with he unlucky feller I had a pint with yesterday Bill! 😁👍

Mate sorry to hear of your illness good to have you back, but just a reminder this thread is for Lambsfoot blades only, you will be asked to delete all non Lambsfoot photos.
Thanks Leon, we seem to have been having a bit of an outbreak recently, I hope it's going to stop

Afternoon all

Been pottering around today.
Very debonair Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, halfway through the week already, and I'm excited about my forthcoming delivery today! :) It's a bit early to be standing by the gate-post, but I want to make sure I'm ready ;) :D I've got plenty of dull stuff to do until then unfortunately  Schultz is going to help me out :D Have a good day Guardians

Well folks, I thought I better update you on the great news, before I fly out the door. It's rare that I struggle for words, but WOW! Fantastic work by Eric and Barrett, and a really beautifully put-together package, as well as a stunning knife. Well done Barrett, and thanks to everyone for your kindness :) I have to dash out to buy flowers for my neighbour, Mrs Singh, as it's her 87th birthday! :D More later Guardians
