Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians. I’ve been enjoying the cool of the last few mornings and likely the next few, but the heat is set to return this weekend and into next week. Have a great day everyone! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Great pic of Slash !

Those are my favorite Albers covers, beautiful example. 😍

I hope she travels safe, and sends you some knife and food pics too. Thanks for the GAW Bob, very cool of you. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Beautiful Jack! That might be my favorite example, at least until mine arrives tomorrow! 😁

Looks like a nice warm spot for the cool morning. πŸ‘

Gas man lamb again today. I sharpened it up yesterday, I noticed pretty quick that the grind was terribly uneven. It's not the prettiest edge now but it will eventually even out and it cuts like a laser beam!

I had to do quite a bit to get the edge on mine up to par.

I didn't take a pic of the burger I just wolfed down, but it was a darn sight better than the burger my unlucky mate from last night, Jilted John, had in the pub! It was absolutely TINY! When we checked the menu, it was 3oz! Came with a couple of strips of lettuce, and some rotten fries, and cost over Β£10! πŸ˜– That lad wants to make sure he doesn't walk under any ladders!

Market Day tomorrow, so I need to get my things ready for then. I don't want to forget to put a card in my camera again, and I have something for Boring Ray's stall I forgot last week. Naturally, I'll be carrying my new knife :) I think Tool Man will find the Micarta interesting

Barrett included a couple of other things for me, one of which was this handsome leather slip

Have a great time at the Birthday party ! I look forward to the market report tomorrow πŸ‘

Good to see Schultz again πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€
Thanks David :)
Cool slip to go with your new GL-24 πŸ‘ πŸ‘ 🀠
Thank you, I just added a bead :)

Morning Guardians! Hope everyone is having a good day. Nice and cool here this morning. Sure have been enjoying this GL-24 πŸ‘View attachment 2641621
Another cool pic David :)
Thanks buddy! I have only been on a short stretch of the AT when hiking to the Virginia high point. Sure did enjoy it πŸ‘πŸ€
I forgot that I actually got lost out there. Ended up in some heavy cover and my GPS couldn't receive a signal. I had a compass and map so wasn't to concerned. I back tracked my self for a ways and lost the trail. Looking around I decided the only way out was to go straight up through the heavy brush and rocks. The trail had to be up there somewhere. It took a while but finally made it to the top and there was the trail. I sure was relieved to find the trail again. The rest of the hike was uneventful.🀣
They say that the man who never got lost, never went very far ;)
EDC for the foreseeable future, I love the old school Linen Micarta!!View attachment 2641644
Fantastic photo Charlie :)
Have a great time at the Birthday party ! I look forward to the market report tomorrow πŸ‘
Thanks Steve, I'll probably only stay for a couple of hours :) Mrs Singh's husband, Manni (Manjinder) was probably my first friend when I lived on this street, and I used to talk with him everyday, but sadly I hadn't known him long, when he died in his sleep. As I'm sure some of you know, the word 'Singh' actually means 'man', and younger Sikh women would certainly not call themselves that, but Mrs Singh arrived in Britain when Sikh women were given the name of their husband, just like married English-born women. Mrs Singh is actually called Amrhit, but as she is a deal older than me, I wouldn't feel comfortable addressing her by her first name. Younger people would call her 'Auntie', but that wouldn't be appropriate either, as I am considerably older than her son, so I stick to Mrs Singh :D She has been mentioned in this thread a few times over the years, usually with a deal of humour :D

Fabulous photo!
Thanks Jack. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
I hope everyone's day is going well :) It is 2.30pm, and I am just getting time to scarf a cheeseburger. Mrs Singh's son, Minda, didn't let me know it was her birthday until last night, so I have been having to make a few extra trips, and scrub myself up for her garden party tonight  I'm over the moon with my GL-24, and looking forward to having a good, uninterrupted CE and CF session with it :) Thank you to Barrett, Bob, Steve, Mitch, David, Dwight, Paul, Todd, Pete, Duncan, Jeremy, Charlie, Neal and Dylan for their exceptional generosity :)

Glad to do it. πŸ‘

The slip and bead are great additions.
πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Geez so many lambs in the flock,
I completely forgot to post this 😱 talk about a King's hordeπŸ€ͺ🀣
Very nice Barrett

Hey, after having 26 Albers Lambs on my workbench last week, what’s one more, right? πŸ˜‰πŸ€£

I’m absolutely kidding, of course. I fully appreciate how special and hard-to-come-by these knives are. I was honored to have temporary custody of all the Guardians Lambs before they went out to all of you, and I’m very fortunate I was able to get ahold of the Ringed Gidgee (I even got it for a fair price!).

It's a beauty Barrett πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€
Glad you were able to secure one, i said at the time they were some of Eric's finest. πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘Œ
Stunning, gidgee produced a beautiful knife.
Absolutely stunning cover. πŸ’₯
More pockets please!!
Beauty Barrett.
That's gorgeous Barrett :)
Congrats Barrett, good to see another of Gidgets sisters πŸ‘
That really is exquisite grain. πŸ‘
Nice addition Barrett. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Those are my favorite Albers covers, beautiful example. 😍

Thanks, guys! The Ringed Gidgee is a beautiful wood, even better in person, with tons of depth and movement and character.

I'm excited about my forthcoming delivery today! :) It's a bit early to be standing by the gate-post, but I want to make sure I'm ready ;) :D

A beautiful day to be enjoyed.( oh, did I mention , helping wife pack for a 3 week trip?)😁View attachment 2641494

I loved the light colored wood on that one, Bob, though I have to admit I can’t remember what it is.

Well folks, I thought I better update you on the great news, before I fly out the door. It's rare that I struggle for words, but WOW! Fantastic work by Eric and Barrett, and a really beautifully put-together package, as well as a stunning knife. Well done Barrett, and thanks to everyone for your kindness :) I have to dash out to buy flowers for my neighbour, Mrs Singh, as it's her 87th birthday! :D More later Guardians

Glad it made it, Jack, and I’m thrilled that you like it! Happy Birthday to Mrs. Singh! (I’m just now realizing I should have done a new happy-birthday-spelled-out-in-knives pic when I had all the Guardians knives here…) 🀣

That seems to be happening at a lot of places lately, less food for more money. 🫀

I hope the Micarta gets the Tool Man stamp of approval! 😁 Looks really nice with that olive green leather, I think!

I’m glad you like it, Charlie! I know when it comes to traditional knife handle materials, Micarta doesn’t have quite the same history as, say, bone, stag or wood, but I think the vintage Micarta at least bridges that gap a bit (and it just looks cool, too!).

Thank you, I just added a bead :)

It’s funny, I have a few of his slips, and I always get them with the eyelet like that, but I’ve never actually put a lanyard on any of mine! 😁

Here’s another updated group pic with your knife tagged.

True that πŸ‘ I remember that Daniel Boone supposedly said " I never been lost but I was turned around one time for three days" 🀣
