Are we grilling lamb today?![]()
Nah, I bought some thick pork chops that I’ve got brining right now.

The Costco we used to go to sells whole lamb, but lately we’ve been going to a new Costco that’s a bit closer to us, and they don’t have the same stuff (I checked today because I was going to try and get a pic with my Lambsfoot

Congratulations Barrett, bet Julie and the kids are excited too!![]()
I was thinking of you yesterday, when I was standing waiting at a bus-stop, and a bus pulled in carrying a side-banner for some Tolkinesque drama series pulled in. The slightly older man next to me, looked up at it, and asked me, "Why do elves always have the same bloody haircut?!"

As much as I like Tolkien, I haven’t really looked into the new Rings of Power series yet (which I’m guessing is what you saw an ad for). Maybe I’m not over my disappointment with the Hobbit adaptation from a few years back, where they inexplicably and unnecessarily dragged a relatively short book out into three long films.

I've never used a full size Weber, but I've used a Smokey Joe for years. When this one wears out, I'll buy another one

I’ve got one of those, my grandma gave it to me when I started college. Doesn’t see much use anymore, but I’ve still got it. Nice pic of your GL-24.

Thanks Barrett
Nice weber. Roast chicken and roast pork every weekend at Barrett 's place.
We bought the old man 1 back in the 80s every special occasion up until recently he'd be cooking meat the day before or in the morning of the day
Hope you make lots of traditions with the family.
Thanks, Mitch. Guardians are welcome for dinner any time!

I’d had my old Weber for 10 or 12 years, and if it weren’t for the rusted/stuck bottom vent, I think it would have lasted a lot longer. Unfortunately I think being out in the elements here in MN has been rough on it. The new one might live in the garage when not in use, although they made that tougher on my by removing one of the handles from the base of the grill sometime between when I got my old one and now. (They used to have two handles on opposite sides so you could lift the whole thing up, but now there’s only one in the front).
