Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Had a very pleasant surprise waiting for me today when I got home from work. Pretty much got home, started cooking the bbq and then got the kids ready for bed but I managed to sneak one photo in before losing light.

Thanks again Bob for your generosity, you’re a true gentleman 🙂 Rufus1949 Rufus1949

My first time seeing and handling a Daniels Family knife and I’m really digging it.

I quite liked that splitting wedge, but it's another thing I don't need!

Generous Bob is a top bloke
Nice knife😎

Looks like a feast Pat 😋
Thank you it was delicious Jack. 😋 When I plated the chips, I thought oh a chip butty would be great. Even with juicy brisket on my plate I wanted a chip butty. 🤣

Good morning Guardians, I had a nap mid afternoon, but then had difficulty dropping off last night  Got work over the next 3 days. Going to have to miss the market, but hopefully I'll get everything done by the weekend. Hope everyone is having a good week. My GL-24 found its way back into my pocket ;) Took the pic at the market last week. I quite liked that splitting wedge, but it's another thing I don't need! :D Have a good day Guardians

Nice vintage looking pic there Jack.👍

Great looking edge on your GL-24 Bob, I'm hopeful of reaching your level of sharpening skill.

Great photo Jack. That looks like an old trowel I was just using.
It looked like Barrett gave us a market report, without the characters.
Thanks Bob :) He had an absolutely beauty the other week, I was tempted to buy it, even though I have no use whatsoever for that kind of trowel! :D I couldn't stop picking it up, so to get rid of temptation, I persuaded someone else to buy it! 🤣
Excellent photo my friend :) I'm glad somebody keeps records! :D
Cool picture Jack !
Thanks buddy :)

I hope not mate! :D State of my back at the moment, the last thing I want to be doing is swinging an axe/hammer! ;)

LOL! :D I know what you mean Pat! :D About 20 years ago, I was at a Flamenco festival in Barcelona, with an Italian friend of mine. There were lots of delicious treats to eat at the festa, but she confided that what she'd really like was a 'greasy chip butty'! 🤣👍
Nice vintage looking pic there Jack.👍
Thanks mate :)

Congrats Jack, generous Bob strikes again ! 😍👍

This lamb always takes my breath! What a beauty!
Man, that one just had everything, doesn’t it? Fantastic knife, Dwight!
Thanks Barrett. It is special for sure!
Today was Eleanor’s first day of 3rd grade, and Scout’s first day back in preschool, so I had a couple hours free time, which I used to check out a place I’d heard about a while back but hadn’t been yet: Ax-Man Surplus in St. Paul.

This place is wild! They sell a little bit of everything (and I mean everything!), but even more entertaining than the random and vast assortment of items for sale is the decor around the store.

Is that an iron lung next to a cutout of Foghorn Leghorn? Yes, yes it is.

The back half of the store is mostly electronic components, as well as some vintage electronic gadgets.

No knives for sale, unfortunately. This was the closest thing I found. 😁

This place was definitely an experience. There are two other locations around the Twin Cities, including one that’s actually closer to my side of town, but I’d heard the St. Paul store was the one to go to if you hadn’t been before. I didn’t exactly find anything I couldn’t live without, but I did pick up some small bins for organizing some of the larger drawers in my new tool cart/workbench/knife cabinet.

Of course I had my 2024 Guardians knife with me again today. I should’ve taken a picture of it somewhere in the Ax-Man store, but I completely forgot to, so I snapped this one later at home.

What an awesome cool place! I have been very impressed with the disparate eccentricities of the twin cities. Never dreamed it was such a cool place.
Good to see that Coopers Dip Barlow
Thanks buddy.
Really enjoy the beach at all times of the day
I've always loved the beach at night. Of course being from Arkansas the coast is extra special! :)
Incredible example Dwight
Thanks amigo. Don't work too hard Jack!
