Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hope y’all have a great day!:)

I get a bit lost in these days between Xmas and New Year, can never work out which day it is

^^^^Loosing track of days is called old age my friend, welcome to my world:D

I wish I could lose track of the days. As it is, the days are crawling along too slowly. Here's a tip, don't order a knife during the holidays. Due to Christmas and New Years, communication is nonexistent and the wait is interminable. :(

Thanks for the compliment my friend! Your AC is looking great as usual!

Thanks a lot Ron

I carry a lambsfoot...

...because that's what John Wayne would have carried (at least, as Sean Thornton in "The Quiet Man").

How 'bout you?

:)

Hope you're not waiting too much longer Christian!

kamagong kamagong , I' looking forward to seeing that shaped-handle lambsfoot too.

Rose Beast finally got a taste of grapefruit.

As your choices for recent carries would have it, I'm here today to pay homage to stag lambsfoot knives (and, as is so often the case in this thread, to food ).:thumbsup::cool: But before the stag stampede begins, a couple of exceptions.

First, David's horn lambsfoot is SO recognizable, bearing The Eye of Sauron! That's why I post it first here, since it's one lambsfoot to rule them all!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::D
...
One of a few today.

Also, I should credit the Samuel Smith Brewery for being responsible for whatever improvement in "beer taste" I've developed over the years. I used to drink the cheapest American lagers I could find, since they all tasted the same to me (lots of 30-can cases of Milwaukee's Best Light in my past). But one Christmas we went to visit my in-laws in Indianapolis, and my sister-in-law got me some "fancy beer", including several bottles of Samuel Smith Taddy Porter and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. That was a life-changing experience for me!:thumbsup::thumbsup::rolleyes:

Mornin Guardians. Hope you have good day. Steady slow rain this morning. :) View attachment 1043872
I also want to acknowledge Dwight's ravishing rosewood!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I'll admit that Dwight can make ANY knife look fantastic, but my rosewood lambsfoot has a special place in my heart. And Dwight's pics make it OK for me to feel that way!! :D:cool::cool: Dwight, my rosewood often looks dry and dusty; what kind of treatment do you use on your rosewood to make it look so dark, damp, and rich, or is that just the weather??

So, without further ado, bring on the stunning stag (and tasty treats)!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Jack's proto-AC looks better than apple pie, and that's saying a lot!!:thumbsup::D (I doubt if I'm a fan of either pudding wine or wine pudding, though. No one has ever called me Mr. Adventurous!)

Merry Christmas to all! Sausage roll and sausage balls today!

Jody, your AC fits right in with the nutritious sausage treats you undoubtedly need to help you recover after the taxing and suspense-laden unwrapping of your Christmas Eve GAW prize!:cool::thumbsup:

The Lambsfoot is a pretty prefect holiday companion, it has seen lots of use today.

Dylan realizes that man does not live by bread alone!:thumbsup:;) I'm surprised your lighter is included in the photo; I'll bet your flaming stag lambsfoot could fire up your cigar!!

JoeG, your stag lambsfoot looks as sweet as those Christmas candies!:cool::thumbsup: I'm sure many of us would be thrilled to seize some See's! ;)

...if I can manage to take it away from my chihuahua's new toy! (She's head-over-heels about it) ;)
Vince, it took me a while to figure out what your gorgeous AC was tied up in, but eventually I determined that you're feeding your Chihuahua mutton now! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is the dog head-over-heels about the toy, or is the toy head-over-heels about the knife? The toy reminds me of Lambchop, one of Shari Lewis's puppets, if you remember them. (Shari looked kind of hot in her youth!)

View attachment 1043418 I seem to have a large amount of sweet treats, which for a diabetic is not good.Must show great restraint :(.Hope everyone had a great holiday.
Your stag also looks good on the candy box!:thumbsup::cool: Maybe you can increase your restraint by sending me any nasty dark chocolate you have. ;)

The kids are coming today and tomorrow then we will do Turkey woot woot! :p Some of the squares are homemade Christmas cake, Nanaimo bars, and Buttertart squares.:D

Dave, your pic gives a whole new meaning to delectable stag!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Whoa, your fiery stag is absolutely MELTING the innards of that "food"!!:thumbsup::D (I'm so lacking in culture when it comes to goodies like that. What is that actually called? I call everything a donut, or a sweet roll, or maybe a pastry if I'm feeling especially sophisticated.:()

Excellent demonstration that a stag lambsfoot can look great even when NOT surrounded by food! Thanks for broadening our horizons, Jack! ;):cool: Ron takes this lesson to the extreme in his post that follows!:thumbsup:

Stag in its bare essentials, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

Very nice Ron :)

Back to stag and food together again; some like it HOT!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Certainly the day for it, Joshua! Top-notch topography on your AC!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

A proper knife in the proper surroundings can certainly enhance our gustatory experiences!:thumbsup:;)

Do you post from a PC or from your phone? There are lots of free and easy photo apps.
...
My flip phone is dumber than I am, so I always post from my laptop. It has a simple photo app on it that I use for cropping, resizing, rotating. It has a variety of other features (filters, adjustments to color/brightness/shadow, retouching), but I usually just crop out the stuff I don't want and then hit the "auto-enhance" button. I figure with my photo skills, the apps can't really overcome the "garbage in - garbage out" principle.

It'd be a dream job for me too GT, you'd be finished by 8am! :D
But who knocks up the knocker upper? o_O
Good point Rachel!  The Knockerupper's mum? o_O ;)
Good point, Jack; the hours are pretty good! :p:thumbsup:
r8shell, here's a link which asks that very question, and includes a tonguetwister that suggests the paradoxes of infinite regress! ;)

Well, both: dog digs the toy, toy digs the lambsfoot (subtle pun: heels = foot). And, yes, I remember the puppets!

Comely Union Jack you got there.

Thank you GT for the kind words. I do wipe em down with mineral oil once and awhile and I only photograph on overcast days. Preferably rainy days. Natures light box. :D Union Jack looks buff and tan in his marine setting.

Exceptional post GT :) I have to say that neither of the dessert wines I had over Christmas were much to my taste o_O When I was a boy, I'd go to watch football, and at half-time, a few old fellers would come onto the pitch, and almost casually, press stray pieces of turf down with their feet. I always thought being a Turfkickerdowner would be a good job, as they only did it for ten minutes a week ;) :D That might be an old pic, but it's a good one, and it's nice to see some sunshine my friend :)

Just a quick pic of the Guardian and an owl my faviorite bird. :D

Thanks GT! Lots of grains in your lambsfoot picture today. You've got the grains on the handle of the knife, and the grains on wood supporting your knife, and the grains from the wooden planks of the pier; just to name a few.
