As your choices for recent carries would have it, I'm here today to pay homage to stag lambsfoot knives (and, as is so often the case in this thread, to food

).

But before the stag stampede begins, a couple of exceptions.
First, David's horn lambsfoot is SO recognizable, bearing The Eye of Sauron! That's why I post it first here, since it's one lambsfoot to rule them all!!

Also, I should credit the Samuel Smith Brewery for being responsible for whatever improvement in "beer taste" I've developed over the years. I used to drink the cheapest American lagers I could find, since they all tasted the same to me (lots of 30-can cases of Milwaukee's Best Light in my past). But one Christmas we went to visit my in-laws in Indianapolis, and my sister-in-law got me some "fancy beer", including several bottles of Samuel Smith Taddy Porter and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. That was a life-changing experience for me!

I also want to acknowledge Dwight's ravishing rosewood!!

I'll admit that Dwight can make ANY knife look fantastic, but my rosewood lambsfoot has a special place in my heart. And Dwight's pics make it OK for me to feel that way!!

Dwight, my rosewood often looks dry and dusty; what kind of treatment do you use on your rosewood to make it look so dark, damp, and rich, or is that just the weather??
So, without further ado, bring on the stunning stag (and tasty treats)!!

Jack's proto-AC looks better than apple pie, and that's saying a lot!!

(I doubt if I'm a fan of either pudding wine or wine pudding, though.

No one has ever called me Mr. Adventurous!)
Jody, your AC fits right in with the nutritious sausage treats you undoubtedly need to help you recover after the taxing and suspense-laden unwrapping of your Christmas Eve GAW prize!

Dylan realizes that man does not live by bread alone!

I'm surprised your lighter is included in the photo; I'll bet your flaming stag lambsfoot could fire up your cigar!!
JoeG, your stag lambsfoot looks as sweet as those Christmas candies!

I'm sure many of us would be thrilled to seize some See's!
Vince, it took me a while to figure out what your gorgeous AC was tied up in, but eventually I determined that you're feeding your Chihuahua mutton now!

Is the dog head-over-heels about the toy, or is the toy head-over-heels about the knife? The toy reminds me of Lambchop, one of Shari Lewis's puppets, if you remember them. (Shari looked kind of hot in her youth!)
Your stag also looks good on the candy box!

Maybe you can increase your restraint by sending me any nasty dark chocolate you have.
Dave, your pic gives a whole new meaning to delectable stag!

Whoa, your fiery stag is absolutely MELTING the innards of that "food"!!

(I'm so lacking in culture when it comes to goodies like that. What is that actually called? I call everything a donut, or a sweet roll, or maybe a pastry if I'm feeling especially sophisticated.

)
Excellent demonstration that a stag lambsfoot can look great even when NOT surrounded by food! Thanks for broadening our horizons, Jack!

Ron takes this lesson to the extreme in his post that follows!

Stag in its bare essentials, Ron!

Back to stag and food together again; some like it HOT!!

Certainly the day for it, Joshua! Top-notch topography on your AC!!

A proper knife in the proper surroundings can certainly enhance our gustatory experiences!

My flip phone is dumber than I am, so I always post from my laptop. It has a simple photo app on it that I use for cropping, resizing, rotating. It has a variety of other features (filters, adjustments to color/brightness/shadow, retouching), but I usually just crop out the stuff I don't want and then hit the "auto-enhance" button.

I figure with my photo skills, the apps can't really overcome the "garbage in - garbage out" principle.
Good point, Jack; the hours are pretty good!

r8shell, here's a link which asks that very question, and includes a tonguetwister that suggests the paradoxes of infinite regress!

So she'll never go back to more mundane fruits, I suppose.
