Not really. I guess when I gave up drinking I figured I shouldn't have to give up anything else. Though I've lost my taste for meat to the extent that I don't cook it much myself.You still on the vegan chuck-waggon Jer?![]()
Being less free with sugar might get my A1C under control, but it turns out my hearing loss is auto-immune, so I'd better go anti-inflammatory, which might help with some aches and pains as well.
US News and World Report has ranked the Mediterranean diet as healthiest overall and best for diabetics, (Johns)Hopkins Health says the Med diet might be the best anti-inflammatory diet, and Harvard Medical School says the Med diet is the best anti-inflammatory diet, so that seems a good starting point.

(Christina's not strictly speaking Mediterranean, but she has some similar virtues.)
My latest plan is to find five or so recipes that look good, from whatever of my many cookbooks, and buy the ingredients for those and rotate them.
