Also today, I received an incredibly thoughtful package from Jeremy
sbh06 , who had very kindly offered to make me a new wallet
I have several pocket slips of Jeremy's, and his skills are amazing. I'm afraid my photos, taken this evening, really don't do the wallet justice, but it is beautifully crafted
He also sent me some Virginia peanuts, and since I love nuts, I am really looking forward to trying them
Thank you once again, Jeremy

My wife brought these "stickers" home. It turns out, they are new forever postage stamps.View attachment 2699986
We had over 200 little "Trick or Treaters" last night!!
Thank god they took all the candy - just a few chips left!!![]()
I’ve been keeping these two on me a lot lately. They go together well I think.

Had an excellent mail day today. I received this fantasticCosimo De Benedetto Lambsfoot, a very generous gift from
Jakeywax31 — thank you again, Paul! It’s a beautiful knife, with a fantastic walk and talk, and nice and thin behind the edge. I got the pocket slip for it from Jeremy
sbh06 a while back, and both went straight into my pocket this afternoon.

Edited to add: this one is lucky number 13.![]()

Great pic buddy, that knife has some excellent stag
Thank you Bob, I don't think you can beat a handmade giftVery nice Jack. Extremely thoughtful of Jeremy.![]()
Sounds like a great use of your land Jack, I love figs tooI had 3 fruit trees turn up last week. Even though I only have two acres I’ve done my best to cram it full of edible things. I’d have to count but it’d be over 30 fruit trees now (about 12 of those different fig varieties - I love figs!).
Jujube is one of my favourite fruits - think a very sweet apple without the juice and a date pip instead of an apples core. This one is to cross pollinate with my other variety and improve fruit set.
Also got a loquat to replace the one our pet sheep ate - after eating about $200 worth of trees he went to a “new home”.
Lastly, a wampee. This is a new one to me, Flynn found the catalogue of an online shop I use and came to me one day asking for a wampee. I thought why not? Apparently an Asian relative of citrus that produces grape like fruit.

Thanks again my friend, the peanuts look deliciousGlad it arrived safely, Jack! My son wanted a can of the honey roasted so we can confirm those ones that great.
Stellar choice Dwight
Yay! Spam and eggs!
You are most welcome, Barrett. A fine knife Cosimo made you. Honestly don’t know of a custom maker that has taken on a 15 knife run and been as successful. His consistency knife to knife is shockingly good. A lot of hard work and dedication to one’s craft.Had an excellent mail day today. I've always enjoyed those picsLast day for Valley Jack's current turn as lambsfoot of the week. I hope when his time runs out he isn't swept into the city sewer system like rain storm runoff on the streets!![]()
He does enjoy hanging out on manhole covers.

Many thanks Pat, he certainly is, and a great craftsman tooNice wallet Jack.Jeremy sure is a good dude, and a good friend.
Very nice Paul
That’s great, Charlie! We’re at the end of a dead end street on top of a hill, and the house is sort of hidden by trees as you look down the street, so we don’t ever get very many trick-or-treaters.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekendI seem to have a bit of a problem with my eyesight today, it's a bit blurry. Hoping it clears up. I might lie down, and close them for a bit. I'm hoping I can just do a few things in the house today
Have a good one Guardians

When I moved here 20-odd years, I was amazed at the Sikh fireworks, now I'm so jaded, I don't even bother looking out of the window!![]()
I hate fireworks
It's strange that they're so available here, when virtually everything else is banned![]()
Wow Will, what an interesting postYour photos reminded me of Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil (I have only seen the Clint Eastwood directed movie) Fantastic photos to go with a fascinating story

She’s a looker Barrett, nicely doneWow, those really do look more like stickers than stamps! I bought some Alex Trebek stamps recently that I thought were interesting. The sheet of stamps looked like a Jeopardy board with categories and clues.
