Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

After waiting for what seemed like ten weeks, instead of ten days, my first Lambsfoot arrived in today's mail! I have this first impression to give and it is that this really feels good in hand, Rosewood is nicely polished and the metal is shiny...a good looking knife. The blade is not well centered but it's a working knife so not a big deal.

I have been in touch with Jack and am on the list for the 2019 Guardian knife, but, this makes it my official application for membership in the Guardians of the Lambsfoot. You are a great group! Preston

Very nice Rosewood! Welcome aboard! :)

I love seeing that old beauty, Ron, I wish we could see more jigging like that, especially on Lambsfoot knives.
Thanks Dylan! :)

Very special lamb Ron.
Thanks Dwight! :)

It might have had more to do with the 5.00am start, but could be Jer ;) :D

I carry two lambsfoots because

when the great sea of awareness comes to take me back, I can trade my extra lambsfoot to it in exchange for my soul.

"I'm alone in a hostile universe".

Maybe not the right book, but you can't expect accurate cites in a hostile universe.

Cool pics my friend

Thanks Jack! I really should get it out more often because it is a really fine old Lambsfoot! :)

It sure is Ron :)

Look what just landed... ;)

Congratulations John, such a cool knife  :)

Welcome to the Guardians Preston :) That's a nice-looking Lambsfoot, polished blades aren't standard on the Rosewood models :) Shame about the off-centre blade, not a deal-breaker for me on an inexpensive production knife, but I wouldn't send a knife out like that

I still await mine, perhaps tomorrow.

Hope so Dennis :)

Great to see so many new "Guardians" along with their wonderful examples!!!

Behold the Guardian of Guardians. Well, he is pretty tough for his size... :)

Arise Sir Lambalot! :D Nice to see you here my friend :)

The first thing my son did when I showed it to him was fly it around the room and make rocket engine sounds... and he's 18 years old. Brings out the kid in all of us I guess

:D

This black beauty has been close at hand today. Displayed with a bit of Redbreast and my favorite pipe.

I've always loved straight edge blades sheepsfoot, wharncliffe but the lambsfoot is really the best of these IMO and here's why I think so.
The sheepsfoot has an essentially blunt point and is excellent as a slicer which is what it was designed for but lacks the ability of a piercing.
The wharncliffe another Sheffield design is good at slicing and piercing but the shape of the blade lends itself to accidental piercing due to the extreme taper of the blade.
The lambsfoot is both a great cutter but the taper allows for very controlled piercing. I have spent the last two days playing with these three blade types and this is my opinion.
