Afternoon Guardians! Jack the Yorkshire Three Peaks looks like an amazing place to hike 👍 A couple days after the Mt Elbert experience I was at the Arizona HP Mt Humphrey which is 12,637. Didn't have any problems their. Made the summit just fine. The funny thing was as I was starting out this long legged dude came strolling by and soon left me behind. He must of had a 5' step. Anyway I was about two thirds of the way up when I meet this guy coming back down with that long stride. He nodded at me and smiled on his way by. I get a good laugh every time I think of it. Hope y'all have a good Labor Day weekend. Happy trails 🤠

Charlie’s lamb again with coffee. Hummingbirds are buzzing the yard on a wonderfully cool late August morning in south Mississippi. View attachment 2963309

Jack, don't look!!

To celebrate a new granddaughter, another contest is coming.
I will give details tomorrow, but here is the prize. You should know it involves counting.
Not new, but close enough. A Cosimo through and through.

Man, this is a just a fantastic old Knife!

Well sad news, we were not able to summit. About 85% of the way up our mountain there is a bit of rock climbing know on the trail as “chicken out ridge”. Needless to say, we chickened out. It was just too technical for us, none of us expected to need rock climbing skills and we also packed WAY too much gear in our bags. Doesn’t help trying to climb up with a big heavy bag throwing off your balance.

We did still have a good time, and we climbed to the extent of our skill so we’re not too bummed. We turned around at 11,500 feet or so, so it was still a very good hike. Maybe we’ll practice our skills and try another day.m

Here’s where we decided it was just too far out of our skill set.

Also, here’s a lambfoot pic to keep this post somewhat topical 😅
