Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

LOL! :D I sure hope Bob is eating OK ;) :D

I’m sure he’s doing alright. πŸ˜‰

One of life's mysteries, who we gravitate to and form friendships. I buried a dear friend last Tuesday, and they are never replaced.

So sorry to hear that, Leon. πŸ™

Love the mug! 😁 I grew up in the south, but not south enough to have a Piggly Wiggly. 🀣

Well everyone, thanks again for putting up with me.
My wife has tabulated an answer.

I need to repeat rule #3 since it was very close. The closest under/ over guess wins.

Cast of characters
411 SteveC
436 DaveHS
333 Danno50
282 lambertiana
59 Mitch
177 DaleS
251 BlackMamba
317 Hoffmajo89
275 echoscout
382 Tyson for 5K Qs
187 mac0731

My wife counted 359
Danno50 was 26 away under, but Tyson was 23 over. Hence Tyson was closer and the winner. I guessed 487πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Thank you again for helping me celebrate a new granddaughter.

Tyson, please have Gary contact me through a PM.

Be well all.

Great GAW, Bob β€” sorry I missed it! I might have been tempted to participate for that handsome Cosimo, but having previously won one of your giveaways, I’m glad someone else had a chance. (I would’ve lost anyways, my guess would have been around yours.)

Yesterday was the girls first day of school; Eleanor is in 4th grade now, and Scout started kindergarten. Scout was a bit apprehensive at drop-off yesterday morning, but she had a great first day and was excited to go back today.

With the change in schedule, I’m trying to be a bit more active and get some exercise in. I could certainly stand to lose a few pounds, but really it’s more about just making healthy decisions. So this morning after I dropped the girls off at school, I started walking the Dakota Rail Trail. It will take me several walks over a few weeks to complete the 28 mile trail, especially because I’ll technically have to walk the whole thing twice in order to get back to where I park each time.

Today I walked 4 miles and covered the first 2 miles of the trail, which starts in Wayzata, MN.

The old cabin can be found in a park in Wayzata, near the beginning of the trail.

Because the trail was built on the bed of an old railroad track, the whole thing is fairly straight and level. There’s not a whole lot to see on this stretch, and the first two miles run alongside a busy road so there’s quite a lot of noise from that, but it was still an enjoyable walk.

Good morning Guardians, I woke up with a cold, I could well do without  Hoping it's gone soon 🀞The weather doesn't look so good , overcast, raining, and cold. I was going to get a haircut, but I might stay in, and do some work instead  I hope everyone's week is going smoothly, and that you have a good day today :) Carrying L'Ariete :)

My 3rd day home- I have been really struck down with a slightly more aggressive version of the Man Flu πŸ˜… hopefully today may be better, get well Jack and stay out of that rain my friend.

Thanks Barrett.
I hope the young ladies have a great school year. So glad Scout enjoyed her first day. Having taught kindergarten for 31 years, I know it can be overwhelming.

Beautiful trail to enjoy a walk.

Loved this Barrett matey! Thank you for taking us along my friend, can I ask you post more please my friend?

Real glad Scout had a great first day!

Happy 9/3 day Guardians. I've been largely absent from here recently with everything that has been sucking up my time. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to fall like I am. Picking one of Charlie's lambs is almost like picking your favorite child but I REALLY like the ebony on this one.

looks like a great trail to walk, Barrett! I should start doing more walking myself.

Thanks, Dan. It is a nice trail, really geared more toward cyclists, I think, but good for a walk, as well.

Nice idea Barrett, and thanks for taking us along with you, those are great pics πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Thanks, Jack. Eleanor and I actually did the whole trail once before, but that was several years ago now, before Scout was born, and Eleanor was small enough that she rode in a stroller for most of it (though she did a good bit of walking, too).

Beautiful trail to enjoy a walk.

Scout was lucky enough to get the same kindergarten teacher Eleanor had, which we had been hoping for.

Yep, I figured I’d post an update every time I check off another couple miles. Should be a good way to keep myself doing it. 😁

That must have been rewarding Bob :) Good for you

Great to see you here Jeremy, those are very elegant knives I think :)

We have quite a few of those old railway trails here too Barrett, also mainly aimed at cyclists. Cool pic of Eleanor! 😎 :D

That's nice :) My 3 had the same kindergarten teacher, and absolutely loved her :) It was only when my second daughter was with her that I realised Mrs Hamilton was actually married to my friend Hamish :)

I'm sure everyone will look forward to that :)
Callie and I were impressed too! Thanks for the funny reply. We just made it home in Dallas safely. Long day!
Glad you got back OK Dave :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is OK. I'm still under the weather, but no worse than yesterday, so I think I am on the mend :) I'm going to have another day indoors, and will be accompanied by my GL-24 ;) Have a great day Guardians

This will cheer you up for sure.
Earlier had to go shopping to get the old man a father's day gift.
Today is 4th of September. I took this photo as you walk into the store. As I knew you would love it Jack πŸ˜€πŸ€£πŸ€£

Nice to see that beauty again !

Every day, their positive attitude got me going. I taught physical education for 3 hrs. before that.

Good idea Jack. Keep those foreign germs at bay.
Good for you Bob, no wonder you are still fit πŸ™‚ Thanks buddy πŸ‘

Oh no! πŸ˜±πŸ˜–πŸ˜‚ I have already sent Charlie his Xmas card! 🀣 I was sending him a package a few months back, and noticed I still had his card from last year, which I couldn't send at the time due to a Canadian postal strike, so in it went! 🀣🀣
That is stunning Bob πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
