Thanks Steve
Good job.
Compost bin or do you guys have green wheelie bins?
That might account for it, Steve. The odd shape of the handle I think creates an optical illusion .
I think the Blues Brothers "sequel" (20 years after the original) was a bust, but the original Blues Brothers film grossed over 4 times what it cost (even though the production costs went way over budget). One of the funniest scenes in one of my all-time favorite movies, Jack! It’s still hard to believe The Blues Brothers bombed at the box office.![]()
Superb knife, Jack!
Congrats on the special delivery, Bob; accolades to Jack for his ongoing lambish generosity! Our lovable grand master of lambs has done it again.
I was pleasantly surprised with a delivery from Jack.
The lambsfoot will be a treasured addition to my flock. While the carved ram will be holding my winter jacket, if ever needed down here!
Thanks you Jack.View attachment 2996142
Stylish ebony WCLF for Black Friday, Steve!
Thanks for another photojournalistic installment of your hiking quest, Barrett! This morning I completed the penultimate walk on my quest to walk the whole Dakota Rail Trail. ...
Today’s walk took me through the small town of New Germany, MN (population: 448). The trail runs right alongside the main road through town for about half a mile. Seems like a nice little town. The space near the trail is kept up nicely.
...
I had my Rhidian What-A-Lamb with me today, as I realized I hadn’t carried it in a while. Hope y'all have a nice weekend lined up.

Superb, distinguished lambsfoot, Jack!Good morning Guardians, I slept badly, and imagine I'll pay for it laterMatt's missus is away, and he has the kids, and I think Wolfie might be in a similar position, so I don't know how much I'll see of them this weekend, but I have an arrangement to meet a few other friends in town later. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend

Always good to see Old Toffee Wings, Jer!
Thanks for the pictorial dictionary, Jack!I didn't take a pic, unless someone saw my Lambsfoot, and called for an Armed Response Unit!

The new bollards outside the post office made me chuckle, though even painting them red hasn't stopped people driving into them![]()
Outstanding photo of your stellar stag HHB, Steve!
Standout stag, David!
Those rosewood HHBs are ravishing lambs, Paul!Another hectic night at work. Not as bad as last night though. Got this fine…fine…fine….Hartshead Barlow in the pocket.

Lovely lamb in sawcut CJ Barlow clothing, Steve!
That jigged bone WCLF is sublime, Dave!Happy Sunday, Guardians! Stil too warm for this time of the year in Dallas but at least it’s starting to feel like fall in the mornings and evenings. Charlie’s lamb with coffee today.

David and Jack, those Flat Cap WCLF version 2.0 knives are superlative!
The guy on the left side of the photo (looking back over his right shoulder) reminds me of a teenage version of Theodore Cleaver, The Beaver in the old Leave It to Beaver TV show.Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and that you had a great weekend. I often find myself marvelling at what an incredible bunch of folks we have hereI have quite a busy day ahead, and need to go into town to pick up a couple of packages, then I have work this evening. Lollygaggin' doesn't last forever unfortunately
Have a good day Guardians, and I hope your week gets off to a rewarding start
I picked up a spare Twisted Assisted Lambsfoot in Brown Linen Micarta, and it's actually the only one of their knives I have
We'll see how long that lasts, but it's in my pocket this morning

Thanks for the interesting photos of small-town Georgia, Bob!View attachment 2998323
We traveled through a few towns south of Atlanta, Georgia. Most suffered from Shermans march during the Civil war. Here are a few downtown photos. All had very small business centers ( half the stores were out of business). They were surrounded by a block or two of homes, then farmland.

Good Monday Guardians.

Your two-blade TEW for Tuesday is too much, Steve!
Congrats on the white ram lamb, David!Afternoon Guardians. Hope y'all are having a good day. Had a knife delivered today. So drove down to my apt and got it. Michael May Lambwith Welch Ram Horn covers. May had switched to stainless steel so this blade is a little different looking. Has a more forward and smaller nail nick than my over May Lambs. Happy trails!

I enjoyed the entire trip, Barrett; I'd consider it quite an accomplishment! It was rainy and cool here in Minnesota today. Not the best weather for a walk, maybe, but the kids are off school for the next three days, so today was my best shot to finish up the Dakota Rail Trail.
As I expected, there were no mile marker signs past Mile 26, but according to Google Maps, the distance from the Mile 26 sign to the end of the trail is 2.8 miles, so in total today’s walk was around 5 and half miles.
...
The last mile of the trail goes through the town of Lester Prairie, MN. No offense to anyone here from Lester Prairie (seems unlikely), but it doesn’t exactly have that same quaint small town feel that New Germany had.
...
And then, when you get to the far west side of town, the trail just ends.

So that’s that, all 28.8 miles (about 57.5 total miles walked) of the Dakota Rail Trail. Thanks for coming along with me. I didn’t exactly plan on this taking quite as long as it did, but I’m glad I finished it. Maybe next time I’ll do it on a bike… it would certainly go by faster!![]()
Thanks Steve.Great pic of that beauty !
Superb covers Steve.
Thanks Steve.
Hope you did not hit any poison ivy, clearing the brush!

Thanks for the kind words GaryThanks for the pictorial dictionary, Jack!
I've seen the word "bollards" but wasn't quite sure what it meant; I've also seen little "barrier posts" and didn't know if there was an official term for them. 2 items of my ignorance addressed in one fell swoop!(Don't think I know the origin of "one fell swoop", though.)
The sidewalks in Granada, Spain have decorative iron bollards shaped like pineapples that are less than knee-high. I smashed my shins against them more than once when my daughter took me to see the city.
Thanks again Gary, I had to look up Theodore CleaverDavid and Jack, those Flat Cap WCLF version 2.0 knives are superlative!

Interesting photo Jer, that could be Yorkshire, or Scotland. I'm never quite sure what to do with 18 month calendars, I don't think I'm organizized enough for themI posted this in edc instead of here!
So here it is again.
So that didn't work. Per my new system, I've already deleted the photo from the card.

Lambsfoot in Portugal, from my previous 18-month calendar.
This may be only my second one. Last year I kept the expiring calendar up, and wrote upcoming things on the upcoming calendar, which is better than making notes to transcribe to the upcoming calendar later. This year it occurred to me to put up the upcoming calendar when I started writing stuff in it, which I think is more organizized and less elaborate, though it spoils the changing of the calendars as a New Year's ritual. You're going to waste the overlapping pictures one way or another.I'm never quite sure what to do with 18 month calendars, I don't think I'm organizized enough for them![]()
