Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Lovely-looking horn Steve, great pic

Thanks pal !

Good morning Guardians, I went to bed tired, but insomnia kicked my butt  Cloudy and cool here today, and I'm tempted to stay in, and get on with some work. Matt and Wolfie are tied up with kids stuff, and while I've been invited to attend an event in town, I don't know if I can be bothered to go. Reckon, I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours ;) Wishing everyone a great weekend :) I've been meaning to carry my 2017 Guardians Lamb all week

Nice looking Barlamb !

Well, it was nice to see my niece and nephew-in-law last night. And my sister.
That Chinese restaurant I have always prized for the copious quantities as well as high quality of its low-priced food, has cut the quantity. I used to struggle to finish my H11 Assorted Sizzling Combination. Last night it was no struggle, even though I am now on a diabetes drug that slows my digestion. It was still plenty, though.

My day off for today went through all right. The sun is peeping out, so the protest will probably have a good crowd which I am happy to avoid. I have a couple of things to do today- schedule the car service, sort out my Lowe's benefits, run out and pick up a prescription. Convex the edge on a new non-lambsfoot.
Tai chi, pa kua, squat thrusts, push-ups, and Indian clubs.
I also hope to get to an antiques mall.

Good on you!!!

Went into my Lambfoot drawer, looking for a weekend carry, and came across this knife I hadn't looked at for some time!!
"Bears" looking into, I thought maybe with some help from the Lambfoot thread!! ;) Eye witness bear 1.jpg"Rough black" is one name for the handle material. The blade seems little used - I'll strop it and see how it goes!
Eye witness bear 2.jpg
I thought it should say "Taylor's" somewhere on the knife, but no other names visible except the above tang stamp!!
Any other information is greatly appreciated!!
Time frame??
Name of the synthetic handles??
Thanks for looking!!

That's one heck of a sweet GL-24 buddy
Sorry you didn't sleep good Jack. Beautiful 🐑😍👍🤠
Thanks David, it seems to be a thing that affects older folks 🤷‍♂️
I went to a nearby one. No knives, but a bagh nakh; and a crucufix that might have some age to it, judging by the name of the place it was made.

Low prices and 20% off.
Easy tiger! ;) :D
Went for a walk with thousands this morning. Perfect walking weather. I suspect these frogs are Amphita.

Nice TEW with Bexoid covers Charlie :) No real age to it I don't think, but Taylor's steel was always good :)

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, so far :) I ended up calling in at Charlie's, then going into town for some lunch with friends. I had some work to do, and am glad I got on with it, as my internet went down not long after, which is why I'm not posting until now. Had to watch a movie on DVD ;) :D

Thanks, Jack!!
A pleasure my friend :) A shame their old factory is gone now. My mother grew up close by, and my parents lived close to it when they were first married at the nearby church, St Silas. As a teenager, I moved a few streets up myself, and would walk past the factory (and the old Washington Works) twice a day. In those days, TEW were a big local employer, with workers streaming into a dozen different 'gates'. I only passed Wostenholm's in the evening, when it was closed, for the most part. Apart from TEW and Wostenholm, Viners were the big firm in that area, but they made table cutlery, and were the first Sheffield firm to import cutlery from China, and sell it as Sheffield-made. It was a great community though, lots of interesting characters, and great pubs

Enjoy seeing that glorious horn Jack.
I always enjoy a good Shiraz. I end up drinking the whole bottle, my wife only likes very fruity wines.🫤
Isn't it grand to live in an era of electronic dysfunction😱

You were right, Jack, when you said their steel was good. I used a diamond hone on this blade, and it took quite a while to get this edge - hard steel!!Eye witness bear 3.jpg

You've inspired me to pull this one out of the box. Jack sent it to me a while back, and it seems to be the same as yours. The molded pattern of the handles even looks the same to me, judging from these pictures. I haven't decided if I want to have it refurbished, but I may as well clean and sharpen it up and give it a carry in the mean time.
