If the steel is the same, you have a good knife Rachel!! Deserves a little cleanup!!You've inspired me to pull this one out of the box. Jack sent it to me a while back, and it seems to be the same as yours. The molded pattern of the handles even looks the same to me, judging from these pictures. I haven't decided if I want to have it refurbished, but I may as well clean and sharpen it up and give it a carry in the mean time.

Well, I'm up to all of fifteen four-count squat thrusts, but tonight they suddenly felt springy instead of sloggy. With fewer and shorter pauses for contemplation.I would be exhausted after doing a quarter of that![]()

Thanks Bob, me too my friend, though the Shiraz I was drinking was actually Syrah, as it was from Sablet in the Cotes du Rhone. The popularity of Shiraz is such that some French producers are now substituting the name. I have been drinking more European wines recently, as both the quantity and quality of 'New World' wines available in the supermarkets has declined, and almost all our specialist retailers are gone. The main culprit is a gimmicky and heavily-marketed Australian wine called '19 Crimes' (along with various spin-offs and copies). People buy it for its label and image, but it sells so well, presumably with a good mark-up, it has taken over the shelves here. The main victim, apart from the mugs who buy it, has been the superior wines of Australia and New Zealand, but US, and indeed all wines, are affected by the silly phenomenonEnjoy seeing that glorious horn Jack.
I always enjoy a good Shiraz. I end up drinking the whole bottle, my wife only likes very fruity wines.
Isn't it grand to live in an era of electronic dysfunction![]()
I think you have a good user there now CharlieYou were right, Jack, when you said their steel was good. I used a diamond hone on this blade, and it took quite a while to get this edge - hard steel!!View attachment 3002616
Yeah, I don't know where they all wentThat's really too bad
Thanks !

Another fantastic pic Steve

You definitely have the claw for it JerWell, I'm up to all of fifteen four-count squat thrusts, but tonight they suddenly felt springy instead of sloggy. With fewer and shorter pauses for contemplation.
I'm just repeatedly astonished how far I can slip in how many ways, after just a few decades of self-neglect.

And yet it's possible to claw it back to some extent.
Love that horn buddy
Yikes!

Another case of us in general getting what we deserve and dragging down those of us who don't deserve it.Thanks Bob, me too my friend, though the Shiraz I was drinking was actually Syrah, as it was from Sablet in the Cotes du Rhone. I seem to be in a good place for thunderstorms. There hasn't been a really frightening one since 2014. (I've been here 11 years!) And I'm still reaching for switches and cupboards where they used to be.))I hope the thunderstorms and lightning weren't very, very frightening David![]()

TrueAnother case of us in general getting what we deserve and dragging down those of us who don't deserve it.
It's been a while since I was last out in a thunderstorm. Might explain why my batteries are lowI seem to be in a good place for thunderstorms. There hasn't been a really frightening one since 2014. (I've been here 11 years!) And I'm still reaching for switches and cupboards where they used to be.))
Yesterday there was a lot of rain with lightning and very distant thunder, which is how my thunder and lightning usually goes.
Good for you JerThanks.
I'm making the pushups an aspirational goal. I'm going back to the shoulder therapy exercises and getting serious with the clubs and swords, which are more fun anyway. Except for the therapy exercises.

Blimey, what a wimp!Fingers crossed for church today. Doug had his knee replaced Friday and he's still goofing off.

I think I have a couple of those.Yeah, I don't know where they all went

I'm debating having it recovered in bone. Either smooth or jigged would look great. On the other hand, it's kind of nice to have a Lambsfoot to use for messy work without worrying about doing damage to it. Plus, it's authentic to an era.I'd completely forgotten about that one RachelI don't pick up knives like I used to, but 90% of the Lambs I come across have Bex covers, and most are made by TEW. They invariably look to have been work or tool-box knives, with the handles looking just like that, covered in white pattern and filler or glue

These 2 have been kicking about on my kitchen table, as they both have issues that need fixing

According to Wilder, he wasn't alone in that.(According to Mel Brookes, Gene Wilder had so much fun making this movie, he tried delaying the end of filming!)
Thanks!Good for you JerNice pic of Rose Beast too

I used to stress about it, but nobody's going to die from anything I do to the sound.Blimey, what a wimp!Hope you've got it covered Jer

Still using it today!!I think you have a good user there now Charlie![]()

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekendNothing exciting for me today, I'm afraid, just some more work, including an online meeting this evening, and I'm probably going to be working more over the next couple of weeks
Still, it could be worse!

I have that same debate all the time, and the outcome tends to be inaction!I'm debating having it recovered in bone. Either smooth or jigged would look great. On the other hand, it's kind of nice to have a Lambsfoot to use for messy work without worrying about doing damage to it. Plus, it's authentic to an era.
NiceStill using it today!!![]()
That's a shame, If I had one of those beauties I would be showing it off regularly.
The walk and talk is poor on both Lamb blades, but they might just need a good scrub outThey look like good projects !
Great shot Bob, enjoy your sugar treat buddyOff to the bakery, my sugar level is not high enough!View attachment 3002972
