Today is my 55th birthday, so after church Dawn took me and the dogs to our favorite local winery. The were pouring some library wines - we ended up bringing home a 2009 blend they make that is outstanding (among other things).

We probably need a bigger wine fridge - having enough bottles is how I feel prosperous.

We used to have a St. Patricks Day parade in the heart of the city, every Mick school was represented with their school bands and a group marching. It was big, most people would not know what it is.

Yes, as a kid in Sheffield, there were all sorts of parades, but I don't think any of them take place anymore

Not a lot of light today but enough to install a needle-tip refill in my pen.

Well Jack I just had a look, Tyson and I are still young NSW has raised the age to 60 I hadn’t looked on principal.
It doesn’t do a lot, cheaper public transport reduction in some bills.

I remember asking my dad about retirement, and he told me thst by the time I got to that time in my life, folks would probably be retiring at 50. And so it seemed then

Yeah, that's how it was wasn't it? I just walked through a shopping precinct, and they had robots doing the cleaning. I doubt the sacked humans are at home studying philosophy, more likely worrying about paying their heating bills

I'm feeling liberated. I just canceled tomorrow's cardiology. Just a yearly checkup.
Easy! Just click on the green X. And I left a message about rescheduling, so they won't despair and do themselves harm.
We're in a winter storm warning tomorrow and I don't want to drive downtown in a blizzard to a claustrophobic parking lot. And things can go wrong when you try to call in late at work.

I am pleased that my replacement bank card arrived today, particularly after a rather frustrating conversation with a young woman at my bank, after I went to make sure it was actually on the way.
