Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Being a Yorkshireman by birth, RALF is not too thrilled by today's weather!

zsjtaTl.jpg

That must have come as a shock to RALF's system Jeff! :D

Love the distinction Rachel :) Your Li'l Sambar also has it in spades, such great pics!

Excellent photos, love that stag...pretty kitty!

Great photos! The Sambar is a beauty! :)

r8shell r8shell Cutest Lamb Foot picture ever.
Thanks, guys.
Birds are so cool. I need to get myself a proper bird feeder. Right now they just steal food and water from my dog's bowls.
I used to live in an upstairs apartment, and I had a clear plastic bird feeder that stuck onto a window. If you sat very still, you could get a close up view as the birds came right up to the window.

When I first moved into my house, I put a bird feeder in my backyard. After a few days, I looked outside and saw a line of neighborhood cats sitting near it. They were lined up like a taxi queue, each waiting his turn for a snack. I know cats eat birds, that's the nature of nature, but I felt bad putting out bait like that, so I took it down.

Your pretty darn close Gary! I see a Jester riding the shoulders of a bear standing on his hind legs.:p Although it could be a Witch. :D or Carmen Miranda!:p
Your knife, your interpretation of the handle, Dave! :D:thumbsup:

GT I know you've been to Spain  Heres Three Dog Night, singing one for you, to chase away the winter blues away.
Thanks, Dave. :) Nice song (and some psychedelic video :p).:thumbsup: I haven't listened to Three Dog Night in quite a while. I think I only have one of their albums, and it's on cassette, which we used to use in the van we once owned. I'd have to search the basement to see if I could find a machine that would play a cassette!

Ironwood parquet!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup: Incredible! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

What's a stocking cap? Isn't that what bank robbers wear?
I think you're thinking of ski masks (or panty hose), Vince! :D Mine is a nice multi-hued cap one of my sisters knit for me probably at least 40 years ago. Not real fashionable, I suppose, but family trumps fashion, right?

One of my all time favs for sure! I've been there also, although that was when Franco was still in power.
Here's my last musical contribution on Texas Independence day - from the great Bob Wills. This is my favorite version of this Texas Swing classic. Bob (who had suffered a stroke) was transported to the recording session in a wheel chair so he could take part in the two day session. The album (entitled "For The Last Time") was originally meant to be the last recording in which he was to take part - a tribute to his illustrious career and talent. Ironically, after recording this song on the 1st day, he suffered another stroke during the night which ended his life.
Thanks for the nice song and story, @OLd_gUY!:cool::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs the X's are swords well at least on my end of the internet they show up as swords...:D
Thanks for pointing that out for me, Taylor; I can see the crossed swords now! o_O Gotta give me a break with all the cutting and pasting the docs have been doing to my eyes for the past couple of months! (Did you at one time have just "Taylorxx", or is my memory getting as bad as my eyes???)

Here is one of the best tasting ribs I have ever had, along with my '19.

Thanks, cigarrodog cigarrodog . :) I need more photographer-proof knives!

Thanks Gary! I think it’s amazing that out of 70 knives (purely an estimated total) they all have incredible character. Some are bolder and some more subtle, but they all have their individual qualities. This helps to make them special to each who are fortunate to have them, and to all of us when we get to admire the photos when our fellow Guardians post them! :)
Well-said, Ron. :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks GT! I never thought about it like that but your are dead on. Cool.

Thanks, Dennis. :) Never knew that was a Hoyt Axton song! Thanks for teaching this old dog a new trick.;)

Hot Chocolate, three fingers, straight up!:D
Then there’s me here drinking poor old Miller lite.

Dennis & Russell, you gents are talking my language when it comes to beverages! ;):thumbsup:

I haven't carried my Li'l Sambar since the ironwood got here, so I think I'll put it in my pocket tomorrow.

Great photos of your stag lambsfoot (and cat), r8shell!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks GT, I got weighed at the hospital last week, and had lost 23lbs :)

I suggest you never do any Rorschach tests my friend, your girls might not see you for a while! :p

Thanks again my friend, sorry to hear you're struggling with winter, and hope sunnier climes are not too far away for you :) You need to sit on your couch, huddled under a blanket, with the cannine book-ends, tapping away on a lap-top! :D ;)

Good to see Man Jack, as always

Thanks for the Man Jack compliment, Jack. :) That's an astounding shot of your ironwood Lucy!:thumbsup::cool:

I was thinking that may of brought out the “common as muck” element in me.;) Maybe I should invest in a bottle or two of the harder nectar.

Maybe a rosewood lambsfoot and a can of beer are "common as muck", but there's a reason they're so common - they're just very satisfying to a huge number of folks, including you and me! ;)

Gary, when you posted about sitting between the two dogs as 3 dog night, the song came to mind. :p I hadn't heard that song I bet for at least 30 years, I discovered it all over again I like it!:D

Thank you my friend, Xmas norovirus probably helped  Well, as long as you're not running around in ski-masks, supplementing your pension, you'll hopefully stay unfettered GT! :D A couple of great shots there, you've really captured them well :)

Thanks Jack, have a great day my friend! :)

Thanks pal, did some chores in the house, caught up with a few emails, packaged a couple of knives, walked 2 miles to the supermarket in the rain, then back again...been a great day! :D I might even treat myself to a beer later ;) :D

Your Ashley's has such rich color. Can't believe you trust her with your knives after she stole so many of them...:D

I’m not so sure I love the cover material though..... I have some really good leather dye that has served me well in the past. Perhaps it will be a bit different the next time I post. At any rate, a great pattern!
I felt the same way at first but now I like the Pere David very much. That's a nice one.

Super pic of your Big 'Un Dwight

Morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I'm hoping to do lots of catching up on the forum today, but still have some chores to do, a Lambsfoot to wrap, some shopping to fetch, and some exercise to get in. At least I don't have to work! :D Enjoy your Sunday Guardians
Thanks Jack. I hope your Sunday is enjoyable.

Thanks for the clarification. Don't hear much talk of "stocking caps" around here, but some guys do wear touques (mostly with the Dallas Cowboys star on them) in the mild winters we have. Went to Baltimore one winter and had to borrow a heavy coat from someone. I also bought gloves and thermal underwear. And I was still cold! Think I'll stay here in the South.

Thanks Jack. I hope your Sunday is enjoyable.

Shock to the system for sure, we are expecting 4-8 inches of the white stuff this afternoon ourselves.

Last week I mentioned that I had won an auction on everyone’s fav web site. I was not sure by the pictures whether it was horn or wood. It arrived late yesterday and it turns out it’s a nice smokey grey colour horn. Pleased with this one.

Very nice Russell, that horn is a very attractive colour :) I am encouraging Wright's to invest in some better packaging! ;) The crest at the top is only used currently on fixed-blades, they call it their 'candelabra'! :D

That does look like spilled salt Preston :D Timely taken photo my friend, hope you didn't get too much of it. Despite the storm warning we had, looking out of the window this morning, it actually looks like a pretty nice day  Thank you, I do enjoy getting out when I can, and as I get older, stopping for lunch has become a ritual. I didn't have tea yesterday, I recently discovered this brand of miso soup, and really like it, it's so tasty! :D I have a lot of small stoves, but the small titanium twig stove I have weighs almost nothing :)
