Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Looking forward to this one

That Sambar of yours is looking prettier all the time Ron. Rich
Thanks Dwight! :

Love that stag Ron!

Last week I mentioned that I had won an auction on everyone’s fav web site. I was not sure by the pictures whether it was horn or wood. It arrived late yesterday and it turns out it’s a nice smokey grey colour horn. Pleased with this one.

Beautiful horn :cool:! Great score!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I have a lot of small stoves, but the small titanium twig stove I have weighs almost nothing :)

Nice! Probably better with meso than neverending ramen noodles!
Looking surprisingly dark on that pic Dennis :) There's a Sheffield cutler, John Mitchell, recorded in Sheffield in 1664
Thanks, Jack! Great grandfather x2 was John Vincent Mitchell, but coming from Cornwall, around Truro and Redruth area, but going back that far, it is interesting!
Morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I'm hoping to do lots of catching up on the forum today, but still have some chores to do, a Lambsfoot to wrap, some shopping to fetch, and some exercise to get in. At least I don't have to work! :D Enjoy your Sunday Guardians :)

Excellent choices for the day, and both well photographed @:thumbsup:

Delving into family history is always interesting. The younger members of my family don't seem to have much interest...maybe 'cause they are to busy with their with their own.
I always tried to encourage our sons to be interested in their family lineage on both sides, telling them it's good to know where you're from, and what your ancestors went through to get you there. Family history to me had always been very intriguing. :)
Thanks, Dennis. :) Never knew that was a Hoyt Axton song! Thanks for teaching this old dog a new trick.;)
Always cool when you find out something about a song or artist you've known about for a long time.
Dennis & Russell, you gents are talking my language when it comes to beverages! ;):thumbsup:
Yeah, the head and stomach just doesn't tolerate what they use to!o_O:D

I would think especially in your area!:thumbsup:

Thanks GT, I got weighed at the hospital last week, and had lost 23lbs :)
Grats on the weight loss, amigo. Not an easy task. Well done
Sometimes I feel like I can look at a picture of a frosted cake and put on 5 lbs :)
...and as I get older, stopping for lunch has become a ritual.
Another ritual that you can look forward to as you get older is getting up in the middle of the night for a "pit stop" :(
You have done Texas proud OG
Even though I was born and raised in California, I've always been intrigued with the mystic of the Lone Star State.
Probably comes from watching westerns at the picture show kiddee matinee on Saturdays :)
I guess, "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys"
When I was a kid, I mainly just used campfires, but they kind of raise a hue and cry many places here these days
As a guy who used to do a lot of hunting and fishing (with the associated camping and hiking in) and therefore very "nature minded", I'm wondering - what's the reason for the outcry? Obviously, you weren't chopping down trees. Is the problem due to the gathering of down wood or the smoke or...?
If it's not too much of a problem, inquiring minds would like to know.
OG

Okay, I'm back home and on my laptop. Let's see if I can master the multi-quote again :D

LOL! :D I remember putting up a bird feeder a few years ago. Walked back to the house, looked out of the window, and it was on the grass. I went back outside, and realised that in the minute it had taken me to go back indoors, squirrels had already chewed the heck out of it, and ragged it off the tree!
Dang squirrels can be such a nuisance. Luckily they don't come on the porch too often with the dog around. The birds ignore the dog and he ignores the birds, so that's where I'm going to hang a feeder.

When I first moved into my house, I put a bird feeder in my backyard. After a few days, I looked outside and saw a line of neighborhood cats sitting near it. They were lined up like a taxi queue, each waiting his turn for a snack. I know cats eat birds, that's the nature of nature, but I felt bad putting out bait like that, so I took it down.
Is it wrong that I found that so funny

I like that shot, John!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks, GT.

Beautiful duo, GT.

Dwight, you never seem to take a bad picture.

Nice looking Rosie in the sun.
Thanks :)

The color of that horn looks so cool.

JohnDF JohnDF Even the birdies don’t mind with your Lambsfoot block ingress and egress.
It's keeping the squirrels away :D

My two new lambs got comparison after a little polish.

Shiny

Lucy is taking you to dark places.

Nice shot, makes me happy!:)
It is kind of cheery looking, Thanks.

Trying to clean up the "shop" today, what my wife calls a "garage "!:D:thumbsup:
A6kYOnb.jpg
I call it my man cave, so my wife doesn't get to touch anything or tell me to clean it up. I say, "Honey, you have the whole house in which to tell me what to do, let me be the king out in the garage at least." :D

So elegant
