And Happy Easter from Texas!
FfP7Nuw.jpg

Actually, this Easter Sunday (April 21) happens to coincide with San Jacinto Day, a Texas State Holiday commemorating the Battle of San Jacinto, led by General Sam Houston, in 1836, a few weeks after the Alamo fell, which won independence from Mexico.
Of course, Easter takes precedence. :)
I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Guardians...gear up for the weekend.

Finally got a picture of my petrified wood, the grain is a bit more washed out than yours. I have another piece in the back yard I'll post later...

I had a little Honda 125 (and a Honda 550), someone gave it to me, I used it to go to work on for a while. Much as I loved bikes as a young feller, every time I think of getting one again, I'm minded of all the soakings I've had, (and all the friends I've lost, roads here are terrible :( ). Riding a bike is definitely a young man's game in this country

Dennis, the wood in that photo is real, old and falling apart...but lots of character!

This is the petrified wood that I find around here, called by local as Kiowa Carmel, doesn't show the wood grain well.
