Hello & Survive! Knife mods

I know you're addressing Chiral, but if you click his orange name, you should be able to PM or email him.

Do you know if this is the case using tapatalk?? I can go through the browser, but it's so small and condensed it isn't much fun... This is why I'm using this app...

P.s. when you say his "orange name" do you mean the active user list on the left side of the BF homepage ?? Cuz I can't find him there.

FB I just took a screen shot from tapatalk. You'll see your name is orange, you can click directly on that and it'll take you to a page that allows messaging

Silver: I don't think that none paying members, aka "registered users" can use the BF's PM feature!

Thanks redwood ...

Ok, I tried this, but it dosnt look like he has tapatalk. I'm still very naive when it comes to the features of this app... Basically muddling my way through.....

This must be why I'm not seeing the option on the BF browser ... Thank you

fbh, I think casino is right, Unless you are a paid member, I don't think you can PM... however if you use your computer (not sure how to do in tapatalk) you can click on Chiral's name and an option to email will pop up in the bottom right of the popup window.

You should still be able to use the BF's email feature to email any member regardless of your membership level with this caveat lector: the email feature on BF is not too reliable and sometimes the addressee does not get his/her email on time or at all! You may then assume that the person is a total jerk for not responding to your nicely composed email ;)

Thanks, dudes, for clarifying and correctifying for me :)

I should have said I see his orange (service provider level) in orange. I should have just said click on his name to see the options. I wasn't sure if non-payers could send a PM or not, but it sounds like we got it straightened out

So here's a few pics of the sharpened spine on my "new to me" back up 4.1 (thanks Justin & jjweb).

- I started out with a fine mill file and after 2 passes put that down and grabbed a Dremel with 60grit sanding drum on very low rpm (never got hot) to do all the material removal. I was able to keep the same profile as well as do in such away that there is no noticeable level change before/after the jimping.

- followed up by 120g... more rpm, to get smoother finish

- finished up on my DMT stones up to 1200g.. Finish looks very similar to the factory finish with a little different sheen

I didn't need to do a full removal of the rounded corners, which is nice cuz it still maintained that factory look, but throws great sparks. I'd say I took 85% of the rounded corners overall. Took about 45min which was a pleasant surprise as having never worked with 3V I was a bit intimidated.

- the green handled 4.1 is still stock and will modified soon !!

Sorry hale storm, I'm not able to see your pics... But I've seen some of your stuff on other threads and always very impressed !!

P.s. I'm I right in thinking you do custom kydex work ?

YES, that's me. The custom kydex guy. I would LOVE to know how to do that American flag scale on my 4.1. Does anyone know how they were done or who did them?????

Here's another pic of the scales I did for the 3.5. These are made from burlap micarta.

That looks and sounds like it came out great!
