I'm going to write to the designer and ask him to update a couple things. not sure if its too lateI think that allowing your maker's mark to look like it says something it doesn't (i.e. 4K) is, if not a blunder, at least an inaccuracy, probably a mistake (pardon the chess terms). It may not lose you the game, but it doesn't do you any favors and may make things harder than they need to be.
I'm going to ask him if he'd add a space between the L and the knifeAs a disinterested 3rd party it looks like UK Linus's knives to me.
yes but this is after the final round of the contest so I don't know if I have the right or he has the ability to even change itNot to sound too aggressive here, but you shouldn't be asking him anything. You should be telling him what you want, and he should be doing it. He works for you.

I am sure that they'll change it for me, I'm just not sure he'll do it before I choose him as the winner. All the designers Ive had have been really easy to work with so I doubt that he'd be different- I just don't know.I think I'm missing something here. If this is going to be the maker's mark you use for a career in knife making, why are you putting it in the hands of someone that is not entirely subject to your will and intentions on the matter?
In fact, I'd even suggest paying for the Bladeforums username change. Adding the apostrophe to denote possession in Linus's Knives, or Linus' Knives does seem rather clunky compared to just "Linus Knives" now that you mention it.
Ah, okay. You ran a context asking for people to come up with a maker's mark for you. If that context was explicitly explained elsewhere I missed it.
There is no rule that says you have to limit yourself to those submissions, unless you signed some kind of contract promising that one of the entrants would indeed win and that you would therefore be bound to represent your work using his or her graphic. Which would have been a really bad move since you would have been signing to an unknown. In fact I don't think such a contract would be valid.
I guess I never mentioned that I guess. my bad. yes, look up 99designs.com to see exactly what I did.Ah, okay. You ran a context asking for people to come up with a maker's mark for you. If that context was explicitly explained elsewhere I missed it.
