Help me choose my winning logo design! 2nd poll

I think that allowing your maker's mark to look like it says something it doesn't (i.e. 4K) is, if not a blunder, at least an inaccuracy, probably a mistake (pardon the chess terms). It may not lose you the game, but it doesn't do you any favors and may make things harder than they need to be.
I'm going to write to the designer and ask him to update a couple things. not sure if its too late

I noticed the tall part of the L is not even the same height as the short part of the K

I'm going to show you what would be, in my opinion, a "corrected", if you'll pardon the expression, version of the 1st maker's mark. Stand by

Not to sound too aggressive here, but you shouldn't be asking him anything. You should be telling him what you want, and he should be doing it. He works for you.

yes but this is after the final round of the contest so I don't know if I have the right or he has the ability to even change it

I like the first one more, seems a bit more refined. The only thing, it may be a bit confusing without knowing that it’s LK. Kinda looks like UK. It didn’t take long to figure out but for advertising, that 1 second can result in forgetting.
It’s good to get others thoughts. The more you focus on it, the more you can loose sight of the original vision. At least with me. New perspectives are helpful. Good luck bud!
Btw - it took me forever to finalize my business cards. I tend to over analyze everything. lol!

I wrote to him and asked him to change a few things including spacing- we'll see what he says

I think I'm missing something here. If this is going to be the maker's mark you use for a career in knife making, why are you putting it in the hands of someone that is not entirely subject to your will and intentions on the matter?

I am sure that they'll change it for me, I'm just not sure he'll do it before I choose him as the winner. All the designers Ive had have been really easy to work with so I doubt that he'd be different- I just don't know.
this is my first time doing this anyway... and hopefully last :)

Ah, okay. You ran a context asking for people to come up with a maker's mark for you. If that context was explicitly explained elsewhere I missed it.

There is no rule that says you have to limit yourself to those submissions, unless you signed some kind of contract promising that one of the entrants would indeed win and that you would therefore be bound to represent your work using his or her graphic. Which would have been a really bad move since you would have been signing to an unknown. In fact I don't think such a contract would be valid.

In fact, I'd even suggest paying for the Bladeforums username change. Adding the apostrophe to denote possession in Linus's Knives, or Linus' Knives does seem rather clunky compared to just "Linus Knives" now that you mention it.

I only got a C- in Grammar, but that's what i felt... I think it FLOWS as Linus, when said out loud. Smoother.

David, I think the website he is showcasing from is like a marketing hub or something....maybe A.I. idk.... But (I think) you request people to come up with logos for you? Then you pick the one You like.... Somehow they get paid or something?

I don't think Linus drew any of these designs?

*For Linus.... Be careful with stuff like this.
Where I work, our Marketing dept. Is lazy. They paid an outside firm to design our logo.
Then years later we discovered about a dozen Other companies with the same or similar ones....

I bet outfits like this do That all the time
