SK Knives, if the nit pickers found 5 items wrong with the Lochsa,---- I'm wondering what your chances of success are with this one.? DM

I can't believe someone just posted a link to a competitor of the guy who's hosting this poll and giveaway. It's not against the forum rules to post those guys as they're paying members, but that was a pretty tasteless plug in my opinion even if that want the intent.

Wow, just saw this.

Let's fix this before it gets out of hand. I have discussed Buck forum rules with Dealers and agreements were reached.

Posting a page with price information is not allowed. As discussion goes forward, no matter the OP, photos of just a knife without price information is allowed. Forum members who hold Blade Forums Dealer memberships can provide a link to their home page or front catalog page. Again with no price statements. For price information use Private Mail or Email. Regular members may ask questions, or make statements and show knives, but should not seek price information or make price statements on the Buck Forum. A Buck Forum poster may state they think a knife is a good deal but may not state price.

The bottom line is the Buck Forum is a discussion forum and not a selling forum.

If you feel the need to ask further questions or make statements contact me directly. Please, only continue to discuss the OPs original survey

I only posted for perspective, I would not have if I had known it would cause such indignation. I am in no way a representative of any retailer, I'm really surprised at this reaction to be honest.

I also hope this project wasn't killed... I'm still interested in a forum knife.

Been super busy, and just had a chance to catch up on the thread. You've all given us a lot to think about! I love the discussion that separates collectors from users and the battle to make more modern changes vs. the status quo. Very interesting all!!

Wow! I thought you had slept through this discussion of your topic as no post since 2-16.? Still time to go back and address items that may have come up in the last 4 pages. DM

Don't jump to conclusions as it was MerryMadMonk that did it first. DM

Drop point Damascus with a thumb stud, black anodized aluminum frame with carbon fiber scales and a pocket clip.

I like the SV90 steel, and I get that Buck wants to stay with what they already have in their pocket. However, If I could build my perfect 110 Limited Edition? I'd use the Nickel Silver Bolsters with Black Micarta inlays (or something exotic and black that gave it an old school 503 gentlemen's look), drop point, but for the blade do a limited partnership with Liquid Steel. I happen to have one of their limited run pocket knives... the design sucks, but the steel is amazing. Just wish someone like Buck would incorporate this into their product line.

Welcome chip to the Buck Forum. The 503 never had black micarta. It was brought out in 77 and for the first 5 years it had maroon micarta. DM

Looks like nickel bolsters and s90v rule so far. The rest or the choices are close.

I have never once used a nail nick to open my regular 110. There's enough blade to grab that I just pull it open. I really don't think it needs it.

Yes sir they certainly are. We are going to factor in the last 4 pages of chatter with the rest and start formulating a plan. There are two camps here from what I can tell. Collectors and users. I'm tempted to lean towards the users this go around. New poll for the disk and thumb stud will come out when I can find more than this brief moment to do so!

Don't forget the finger grooves...
