That one definitely needs a gold plated pocket clip for added bling.
Maverick name is great, something for the cowboy culture .
 
Knife looks really good. I'm going to hold off until folks here have these in hand and can give input into Buck's F&F on this one, though.

The Vantage series has been often plagued by off centered blades and very late liner lock engagement/lock, so my fingers are crossed...

Most don't. Limited run. Ordered this morning. Will will call as soon as possible.
 
Just ordered. I am excited about this one. Hopefully with special order the fit and finish will be top notch.
 
Man, come on, I need to save at least a little money! This came up, Massdrop brought back the Crux, WE has some sweet new slicers... Gonna have to sell a kidney to afford all this.

Waaaaaiit a minute, I think I see you just scooped a Vantage on the forum also. You may need to sell a kidney and an eye at that rate.
 
Ordered. My EDC Marksman Operator is so smooth and tuned I don’t think it will be replaced but I’ll bite and see how this new Vantage fairs.

I’m an SK Blades fan and appreciate what Stephen is doing so even if this one ends up in the pile I feel it’s money well spent and look forward to the next project.
 
I just found out from the Vantage I bought that Buck has started pinning the Vantage instead of screwing the handles together under the scales. Is the Maverick going to be pins or screws under the scales?

Somewhere in this thread I asked about that and was told the liners will be pinned. That's progress :confused:

Pinned flippers make me very sad. Flippers require a clean pivot and washers to work well, pinned construction means you can't take it apart and clean it without extreme workarounds. That's very disappointing.

Yep! I wish they weren't pined. The older ones have screws .
