What makes you think this does not use the advertised steel? I am wondering myself, but I would guess that at this price it better have the right steel.

If everyone is perfectly happy with spydercos that are made in taiwan, these arent really too far off the mark from them.15 years ago anything made there was considered junk, too, now look where they are,& with the latest equipment its easier to come up with a good product quickly, like Kizer has done.
It does. Looks even better on the knife it was originally designed for(google 'sidis koordinal')

Wow! This China knife looks very similar to that.
After studying the Horizon and the 560 I will have to agree, not that close. Reading some thoughtful posts here about a rational for the cost, I wouldn't mind a chance to try one of these out.Nice knives, ReaTe. Unfortunately, it seems that even an original design isn't good enough for some people here. I don't see any "obvious" similarities between the 560 and the Horizon, but there will be people that will grasp at straws. Keep up the good work, hope to see more models in the future.

Hi, I would like to clarify some points here:
1. "Horizon" was designed and made by Reate, not customized. But the quality can compare with customized knife. And we can make customized knife according to customer's specifications.
2. We offer life-time warranty. If the knife has quality issue, send it back to us, we can return money or send another one. We also have accessories to sell for maintenance when damages occurred.
3. Our brand name "Reate" is a similar word to "Ruite" which is a Chinese phonetic symbol, and Ruite means "sharp, outstanding and special".
Hi, thanks for your advice, we are thinking to have a new logo for Reate, it's in processing. Thanks for the info. Maybe you could incorporate the symbol into your logo?
