3. hahaha a DESIGNER worked for ADAI?! Adai only stole designs, that's it. NO DESIGNER WORKED FOR ADAI. The only DEALING with the designer, was with Matt Cucchiara, which has his Dorado Mid-tech Flippers, they was made at ADAI, then he received them and refined by his own.

The El Dorado Mid Tech was explicitly stated by Matt to be entirely outsourced to a machining shop, however he assembled them and did the final fit and finish, plus whatever modifications people wanted.

What I did not know, and I don't believe has been brought up before, is that they were apparently made in China.

I have seen Cucchiara's Dorado listed on a certain site. They looked just like his "mid-techs" with vg-10 steel and were listed at an extremely low price. The seller would not ship it to the States however. Not saying that Cucchiara has his mid techs produced over seas or anything...

A-Dai STOLE IT ALSO and made "zt 0999" you can find it on aliexpress. I also can find for you that page where the biggest russian kevin john and a-dai knives seller name Mikhail came to russia with "horizon-a" prototype several months ago and sold it AS AUCTION at guns.ru and it STILL WAS CHEAPER!!!! and even now he is going to sell it cheaper then on aliexpress. because it does NOT cost THIS much, i swear.

I think they are very different as well.

First, many blades look alike, at least from the first glimpse. Are they stealing design from each other? Not really, right?

Second, I think Reate design is original. And more costly (Horizon A), because the amount of titanium removed from the raw slab is much more than just flat piece. You need to handle one yourself to check whether it is original or not.

Don't worry, David. Keep going with Reate knives. I believe a lot of people will support you, including me.

I find this a bit disturbing. i bought a doraldo off another forums pretty cheap,but not knowing what i read now.the ones that matt embellishes goes for 700-900 thats alot of money for a knife that was already made,just finished up a bit & add a bunch of fizz to.Now i might sell it only cause it might not be worth what i paid to me at least,even though its pretty well made & smooth.im into a kizer for half the el doraldo & its easily equal if not better...
 
Wait, wait, wait... So the allegation is, Reate is/was ADAI... The "brand" that makes ZT clones among others sold on Ali? I also read a mention of Kevin John by rkgp2112... Can you further explain how they are allegedly linked?

the price he himself said not more expensive than adai 0999, so it is not NO WAY it is more expensive than $137 if you look for 0999 at aliexpress.

the price of dorado a-dai was selling (to be accurate, it was selling by chinese reseller Chen) was 190$, that was list price. If take shipping risks, you could buy cheaper. it has teflon washers though, matt worked on blade movement, so what he make is a good flipping with bronze washers. and i believe it doesn't cost that much, what he takes for it.

yes. i can give a link to the "product" on ali, if moderators willn't ban me for that. now there even is a very funny product, slyzs martin's "aliens vs predator"-like SPANTO FLIPPER with titanium handle and n690 for a really good price. but it can't be named as a fake, it is really not the same thing like microtech stole 0777's design, because this design is noticeable remaked. i believe the quality is very high, because the seller says true. it has ball-bearings, and MG knives' bearings are COOL. i even bought one, because it is reasonable price for this knife and i like good flippers. called "DAMM" :)
 
the information about price not over 0999's one.... the a-dai guy himself told that exactly to this best prices reseller on aliexpress, who's name is Chen.

that's strange, i, russian, understand when he said that to me, in english, and you don't. i am saying adai told to most famous reseller, that price isn't any bigger than that of 0999 (copy of zt 0454). for m390. so what are you talking about the price, like, "it is not overpriced" - you aren't right.
