So your mad that they used the same texturing as the Sinkevich knife? This is something many many (many) makers borrow from one another. How many makers copied Jens Anso? That isnt the same a copying a whole knife design.

Now as to your accusations that Reate is a dai, what proof do you have besides a similar pivot that is a rip off of the 0454? because if the pivot is your only evidence its simply not enough. Im not saying your wrong, im just saying if you are going to call someone out then you should have the proof to back it up. And even if they are A Dai I have to give them credit for moving away from replicas. So they used a texturing of a custom maker. Give it a few years and you will see it used in a boker.

Still it really doesnt prove anything. Even if it is. They are seem to be trying to turn a new leaf. If we held a misstep or two against every maker or company who made a misstep then we would be left with only a handful of companies. If it really is A Dai that is Reate then I am actually excited because they can make some great knives aside from the obvious issue people take with them which is that they make mostly replicas. If they are moving away from that and want to make their own stuff then I am in full support of that decision. I would like them to change the pivot design though. The texturing? That to me is just nitpicking.

I do like your point. The auction is NOT random at all, though. I gave a link to the seller's thread, he now makes new brand which is collaboration of KJ and russian designers. called customknifefactory. 99% kevin's knives now goes and WILL go to him.

no, just they are OVERpricing and no word about their REAL past. they lie. "we are new company" haha

So your talking about the guy who makes the "asymetrical" Russian designed knife? I am familiar with them. Still think about it this way. Reate is a new company. Its a new name, with new products of their own design. That is not a lie. There are plenty of other makers who have had multiple knife companies. If you have a new name, and new products that arent your old designs and your trying to break into a new market that is a new company. Just like when KAI decided to start up ZT. That was a new company started by a a corporation that all ready makes knives. Spyderco has byrd and benchmade has many companies under its umbrella. The fact that they didnt come straight out and say that they were a dai?

As far as them being overpriced. I dont really think they are overpriced at all for what your getting. Remember the model that runs $300+ has a 2 piece handle. The backspacer is actually part of each handle slab which increases the cost significantly due to the shear amount of waste of titanium in each knife produced. They are literally milling away the amount of titanium it would take for them to build the B model that has standoffs. There really isnt a production flipper being made that has a 2 piece handle design like that. Add a M390 blade, and the intricate mill work and I think its pretty spot on with what a folder like that should run. Honestly I think the days of expecting a low cost product simply because it was made in china are over. If you look at the knife strictly from a materials and quality standpoint and leave the fact that its made in china out of it then its actually a pretty nicely equipped knife at a fair price.

what does this have to do with Reate? The bearings in that shirogorov clone are not what reate is using in their knives. And you even state that is a kevin made knife which is not A Dai and Not Reate. If your simply making the parallel because of the chinese connection then that is like blaming benchmade for bear and sons quality control. And If you want to discuss the merits of your arguments maybe a new thread is deserved seeing this really seems to be straying from the path.

1. id “rkgp2112” was newly registered on Apr 9 and all he did was nothing but posted against Reate. His purpose is very obvious.

These 2 knives are different from the appearance and style, the machining and pattern might look similar, so using the same technique is stealing?

3. Again, we here clarify that Reate is a newly founded company and brand. We have our own designer and worshop. There are many knife manufacturers here in Yangjiang China and small circle in knife making industry, it is easy to find out who is A-Dai. Our designer used to work for A-Dai but he is no longer working for him. Horizon-A and Horizon-B are orignal design from Reate, we reserve the right to counterfeiting. There is serial number on every singal pc of Horizon-A(people who purchased Horizon-A know that), we have records of these serial numbers for tracking and so far we haven’t sold one pc to Russia.
 
Love the way the Horizon-A looks. I'd probably get one if I wasn't so content with my ZT0801.

Edit: On closer inspection, it does look a lot like the ZT0454.

First of all. i SWEAR they ARE overpriced. The guy who sold adai, said first the price was VERY MUCH LOWER. You have to understand it. Also, Mikhail, too makes me know that, because he sells VERY high prices, i mean VERY large margin he makes, and still his price is lower than that of ali. so from factory he gets MUCH cheaper than you thought.
Now you all guys just rising the price of knife which you could buy much cheaper. with your words it rises very high, because of the demand. No one buy - he would understand, he should set the initial price.
The second, there really is something to do with kevin bearings. You should look at this http://youtu.be/sobsx3ZYpbY?t=14m9s and also from 16m 56s you can hear what a crap a-dai bearings are. also i had replica of zt 0888 and the bearings are AWFUL, every bearing not the same size, not round, like ellypse, that's why that bad kind of movement and sound. even kevin's ones are better.
