How many of you EDC an expensive ($300-$400 and up) Knife

I don't buy anything I won't use.

I have two knives, one folding and one fixed. The folder was $1200, fixed $500.

I always carry a 3" XM.......usually a production.....sometimes a custom......most often a bronze spanto......

carry these - the stonewashed finish on the xm18 hides small scratches very well - i dont hesitate to use it - i would not cut most of the same stuff with the emerson though - it needs to stay sharp and pristine - but i carry it everyday :D

Would you mind posting a picture? I just wanna know what knives that money can buy.

lol...the fixed is with a family member at the moment but I have the folder on me now...Lucas Burnley Kwaiken.

I carry a small CF Sebenza Insingo everyday. I have Mnandi coming, and when it gets here it will be the Mnandi's turn for a couple of months.

I have carried and used my large Sebenza for 2 years. It went into the woods with me once along with a fixed blade. I am planning on buying an XM-18 and it will be used and carried without fear of hurting it. I don't abuse my knifes and disassemble and lube all often. I have no plans on buying a knife for anything other than cutting stuff with,....whatever the price.

I collect several different knives that I don't want to carry, mainly because I wouldn't like them for my daily EDC. For daily carry it is either a Spyderco/Farid big v10 and Titanium K2 or I carry a Benchmade Gold Class mini Barrage M390 blade, but I will use either one of them. I bought these to use. If I like the knife to carry, I won't let a few bucks keep me from using the knives I love to carry.

I've always been into knives for the last 20years or so, a lot of Benchmades and Spydercos. Then a year or two ago I got a bug and bought a Sebenza, that was all she wrote! I've spent way too much on expensive knive since then but the pleasure I get from carrying them and using them is worth it to me. I understand buying a nice knife and not wanting to mess it up carrying it and using it, but in my own experience as soon as I take the factory edge off and resharpen it, the value of it drops almost as much as if it were a user, so why not use and enjoy it. That being said my current EDC is a Carter neck knife and a Large Sebenza 21. It makes me happy!

The only knife I own in that price range (if you're looking at the MSRP that is) is a ZT 0560. Luckily the high end bug hasn't really bit me yet.

That said, my more expensive knives see more pocket time than anything else. Paramilitary 2, Manix variant, ZT's etc.
I agree with the recurring sentiment in this thread; if I'm paying good money for something, I'll definitely be appreciating it hands on.

Please don't remind me of King cobra.

When I think of cheap booze, "Easy Jesus" comes to mind...

I EDC everything from an inexpensive Swiss Army Knife to a Sebenza and SNG. It just depends on whst I feel like carrying a particular week or whatever.
