" I have sent payment to the email address asked by the other party" Wait. What? Why wouldn't you just wait to see if the knife arrives?

Cause I'm not a THIEF and tired of being persecuted. I came here for help, and instead got branded.

Closed until OP can speak with the post office.

He just responded, and said the money in in his account. I'm stressed.

You need to wait until tomorrow, that is when the information you need will be available. There is no need whatsoever so send anyone money until then. Period. When we get stressed and angry, we tend to lose our objective view of the situation and act on emotion and impulse rather using logic and reason. No one is being persecuted, opinion was asked and it was given-albeit some was less than helpful.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the knife showed up today. It was at the Post Office the whole time. They scanned it as delivered at the post office, and left it behind. They are supposed to scan at the mailbox not at the Post Office. This is how packages show as delivered on the website, and you do not get the package for a day or two latter.

I was pounding on the back door of the Post Office at 8:00 am this morning, luckily I know them all very well.

So is the other party going to refund your money and you send his knife back?

I doubt it, I guess I'm stuck with it at this point. I paid him more than I wanted, and more than a carried Large Sebenza 21 is worth. I just wanted it to be done with, and some to stop calling me a scammer and thief, which I am not.

Well I wouldnt hesitate to do business with you if you intend to stay and if the occasion ever arises. I could def. see wanting to stay away from all trades at this point though.

Thanks bro! I appreciate that you have confidence in me.

380$ is what I ended up with and that's what a large sebenza BARELY carried is worth. No I do not want to deal with you anymore. We are done with this transaction... I'm no longer taking anymore risks with the user above. Sorry, jus how it is at this point....

Why wouldnt you insure a $400 knife?

Never insure packages. To me it's a "hey this package is worth 4-500$ steal me sign". Sorry jus how It is for me. Not to mention once it's marked delivered the insurance is worthless.

I can see that thinking.

When the package is insured for over $200 dollars it requires a signature, and is handed to the person, so you KNOW they received it. Not like what happened here, and all the time.

What ever happened to (BOTH PARTIES HAVE TO BE SATISFIED WITH A TRANSACTION FOR IT TO BE COMPLETE)?

You owe him for the money he spent to ship and his knives back

He kept his word and shipped you should have done the same

THIS. You agreed, YOU offered then YOU reneged. Flat out wrong. If he accepted your conditions sure but bottom line, you are in the wrong.

I am done with "knifehunt" this transaction and this thread. Me and OP have no more bussiness together and won't in the future either for that matter. If anyone wants to contact me please feel FREE to pm or email me at ANY time.

well knifehunt, you now have a knife with a good story...

you could sent it (insured) to Mr Reeve for a complete fluff and buff to get those used cooties off, and keep it - will only go up in value.

plus, i know who to do business with in the future, should that occur :)

you were offered $400 for a used carried knife, to compensate for ill-will and not receiving your trade and you accepted.

if you have sour grapes about it, you could refund the money in full, and get your knife back. i would imagine.

the deal is otherwise concluded, yes? we can all move on.
