Sounds like he's had good teachers in his up bringing to me. Doesn't water down his advice.I love how a 13 year old is lecturing people to save money when he can't even legally work and he's buying and displaying a bunch of high end knives.....

That. You can afford $130 for "novelty," but you can't save for a month or two and pay the going price for your GRAIL?
Hang on, this is the kid who's 13? LOL! How do you guys even know his age?
He admitted this in one of his (many) posts.
I don't have any experience killing another etc. but would give advice on why it wouldn't be in your interest to kill another.
See the logic?
I'm at a loss. I love KAI products, but hate that you always stir the pot then leave. I think the last few times you even said you were never coming back again.Thomas here...
A most disturbing thread on multiple levels...
Finished off with a MT reference.
Wow, and sickening.
Out.
You mean face to face or on media that everyone can watch?I would actually prefer the advice from a murderer, but well I guess that's just me.
Save up for a 777. Its worth it. It is one of the nicest folders I have ever handled and owned.

Self defense instructors giving advice on what to expect if you're placed in that situation would be my choice since they are repeating testimony from numerous "normal" people being forced into it.
Actually I didn't. He's had teachers that have taught him to save for what he wants. Obviously unless he gets a huge allowance, saving for a high priced knife is going to take much longer than someone with a decent paying job.Oh sure face to face or maybe if any of them start answering my letters through the mail. I'm not picky. In all seriousness you drew a ridiculous false parallel between the two situations which is obviously not applicable.
Bottom line, I prefer to get advice from those who know what they are talking about.
Good decision. I am sure you will find one down the line on the exchange when the time is right.I hope you get the real McCoy.Treat yourself well and acquire knives that you will have for the rest of your life.I am sure you will ultimately be happy with your choice for a real 0777.My opinion is that the 0770CF or the 0562CF would make a fine alternative and far less costly option than the 0777.If you want the Real McCoy then settle for no less..I'm at a loss. I love KAI products, but hate that you always stir the pot then leave. I think the last few times you even said you were never coming back again.
I was honestly thinking about getting in on an 0770 pre order after looking around, but I think I'll stick to hunting down an 0777 instead.
I'm going to pass on the clone. No matter which way I look at it, I just can't justify that much for a Chinese knife made of mystery materials.
Spydercobenchmadekai, please, come back when you've actually bought a knife with your own money. I'm glad you're into the hobby at such a young age, but recognize that 99% of the knife market is not 13 year old kids having their parents buy them knives. So save the condescending tone for the kids at school that you just might have more knife experience than.

- I was thinking the same exact thing. Sounds like he's had some good role models to look up to.Sounds like he's had good teachers in his up bringing to me. Doesn't water down his advice.
- I wouldn't pay $800 for the ZT0777. That being said, I think it was a bargain for $380. But back to your original argument, what other custom knives do you know even in the $800 range that are better in every way than the ZT0777?I don't understand how $800 (or whatever the going rate is) for a production knife is worth it when an array of customs are in that same range, some would say better in every way than the 0777. Can someone help me understand this? If the person just loves the knife and it speaks to them, I get it, but is there any logical reasoning behind it?
