Damn, I just found a $100 bill I had stashed, and completely forgotten about. To buy another, or not to buy another, that, is the question.
Buy me another, that is the answer...
or buy another OD pack so you can be the coolest mofo on the planet![]()

OK . . . now for some pix of the BK16 I picked up at SMKW this morning.
Becker has started using a sleeve to protect the usual black box. Also, note the little brochure that was included. Covers basic Becker/Kabar history and includes a warranty statement as well as some how-to tips on care of the blade and sharpening. Nice touch. Included in the box is an extra set of scales (no extra hardware) and the usual cardboard blade protector.

The sheath is well designed. I wonder about the need for a double snap fastener around the scales. Guess it pays to be sure you don't lose that little gem.
![]()
Back of the sheath includes the KABAR logo and all sort of extra fastening points to enable lashing to a pack or whatever.

"First Production Run" and Ethan's signature decorate the blade quite nicely.
![]()
And the back of the blade shows the BK16 logo stamped in and the file work to be used as a thumb rest.

Good looking knife. Lots of utility value too . . .

The engraving of "First Production Run" and Ethan's signature feels quite deep to my uneducated thumbnail. Deep enough that it might remain even if the coating were stripped. The saber grind shows up quite nicely here.

And this one came out kinda' upside down . . . for whatever reason.

The Tweeners seem to be about the perfect size for an EDC fixed blade. Looking forward to using mine!
Tempting as it may be I think I'll wait for the FFG BK16.
I'm not into safe queens or collecting.
I'd rather buy from Tomars..
thats not a question...thats an answer!
''resistance is futile'' and all that LOL
it's funny i get catalogs from SMKW all the time and never once did i think that i would be ordering a FPR Tweener from them. Pretty excited about this!
