I just ordered a limited edition bk16!

im just gonna try to ignore that I have a 16 coming. I should have my kydex here monday, so between trying to learn how to bend kydex and making some denim micarta...maybe I'll be busy enuff to make the wait tolerable!
 
I went with snail mail because it's only $5, and I don't want it this week, gonna be hectic and I won't get anything done if it's here and all I'm doing is thinking about using it, so the soonest I see it getting to my house is sometime next Monday.

Forgot who put out the coupon code originally and too lazy to go back through thread to look but I have to both thank you and damn you. If it wasn't for the 5 dollar shipping coupon I probably would have just passed, but for only 85 bucks how could I not!?!

Who else wants to baton their new BK16 through that POS novelty knife that comes with the order from using the code?

I think I'm gonna have to pull the trigger on one of these after all. I saw this thread earlier and thought they'd sell out before the temptation got the better of me, but evidently not. Think the wife would believe that it's a 10 month early birthday present to myself? LOL :p

Ralph thanks for the pics and making the trek out to get the knife. I like it a lot with writing on it or not. I just have to fight the urge to not buy one of the other ones. I just keep telling myself to wait for the ones I am going to beat on instead of coddle like a baby. :)
 
I think these will last for a fair bit. Perhaps faster after Uncle E appears on TV about them. But I'm guessing that most sold thus far have been from us. ;) Damn, I'm still wanting to buy another...
 
This is one of the tests in self-discipline that I really don't want to go through but probably really need right now. I want one so bad but I am probably going to have to wait. By Thor's hammer!!!!!

Well perhaps I should thank the Becker community for what happened this morning. Went to see if the paypal payment had gone through on my bank account (it had not) to find 600.00 in fraudulent charges from iTunes to my debit card. Needless to say I have spent the last two hours on the phone with iTunes and the bank to try to straighten it out. Someone got my card info and set up iTunes accounts and had a party at my expense so I had to cancel my card. Now tomorrow when they try to get the money for the 16 it will get kicked back and I will not get another debit card for 7 to 10 days. Needless to say, though thankful since it could have been worse, am not a happy camper right now.

I was just thinking, and a little off topic, but since KA-BAR has a marking laser, does this mean we can expect to see the BK2's of the future to have a full flat grind?
