So I waited until this Thursday, but things didn't happen like you promised, it's October 8th now, nearly a month since I paid, the other side of the knife still not come.
I paid two times, which was 879 dollors, on a same microtech scarab but only received half of a knife, I don't know if you can understand what I'm feeling now. This is the third time I buy from you, and it's also the third time a package lost.
I recommend asking for an investigation form in your postoffice to search where the package is, will you let me know if you will do it this time?
I'm looking forward for a solution. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Josh,
Will you please inform me what solution on this problem? It's the second time I don't receive the knife.
Please write to me.
Kind regards,
Mingyu

So here's a question - what hardware exactly are you missing so the knife can be completed?

Hi,
I received the half with blade, what I didn't receive are the parts that are not in the picture.
I'm sending the picture to you again.
I know you are busy, thank you for your reply.

I hope you received the picture successfully from my last email. Please let me know what's the solution by Tuesday, or if you agree I can send the half knife back when my local postoffice opens, and ask for refund.
Kind regards,
Mingyu

Josh has received mixed reviews here although I've had very good luck with PVK. However Josh is very bad at responding to email. I don't think Josh intentionally sent you only half a knife, that is I think he likely sent both halves. My guess is the other one got snared in route. Keep after him to make good on the deal.
all da best,
rats..

I agree with you, but so far, I have three packages from him "got snared in route", I just want him to be more responsible this time.
By the way, do anyone know if a package lost in USPS Airpost service can be found?

Let me sum up the situation here: mingyu placed three separate international orders with Knifezilla / PVK.com.
The GM (owner?) of the store, Josh Burbank, claims that each order was shipped in two separate packages, in the first two the knives went separately from the boxes and sheaths, the third time, he took the liberty of disassembling a 400$+ knife and voided the warranty.
Every single time, that is 3/3, half the packages got lost en route.
Now, I am no Sam "Ace" Rothstein, but the odds of something like that happening look very long to me, like hitting quite a few Blackjacks in a row... In real life situations, I do not believe in those kind of odds.

mingyu, here is what I would do:
You already sent Josh a link to this thread, now try to change its title to something more explicit, like "Knifezilla robbed me three times".
Keep posting updates, and we wil not let this thread die down.
File a dispute immediately.
Post a review for Knifezilla on Reseller Ratings, it has zero reviews so far, yours will mean it will have a 0% satisfaction rating. Actually, the way RR works, I think you can post a review for every invoice number you have, but I may be wrong on that.

Good luck.

Bedankt! Thank you for your advices and really good and brief summary, better than what I wrote.

Josh may be slow but he is not a crook!!!

If he needs to make this good he will but with Josh patience is a virture...............

I never said he's a crook, I treated him with trust and I think I was very patient.
What made me unpleasant is that I don't see enough responsibility. After the first Scarab lost, I asked for shipping proof and asked if he could ask postoffice to do investigation, neither question was answerd. The second Scarab, I even reminded him to take pictures to prove shipment, but the same thing happend again.
I want to ask, how many buyers remind seller not to forget to get proof of shipment? Isn't this the seller's responsibility?
I say I did as a good buyer or better than a common buyer.

If I was the OP, I would already be out of patience. If he is going to sell knives then he should grow up and take care of business.

As all of us here know, things happen, but communication can really make a difference. However it doesn't sound like this is an isolated incident.

When someone is holding another persons cash, but the buyer hasn't gotten the goods or communication, its not up to the seller to do things whenever they get around to it.

mingyu, I can't speak for everyone on here, but I have never asked for proof that an item was shipped out. I have never had a need to do so. However I've had sellers go out of their way and send a copy of the postal receipt so I would know it had been shipped.

If it was only a few dollars I wouldn't get to excited about it, but for the amount you are out, I think I would send one more e-mail and if you don't get a response, It may be time to take other actions that will get his attention

Thank you 338375 for your advice, I've sent the seller several emails to state the situation.
By saying "proof" I meant the "postal receipt", but the seller never showed any receipt to me or answer about this question, that's why I thought maybe he wasn't used to keep receipt.
So the next time before I paid, I asked if he could take pictures to let me know the items were shipped since he didn't keep receipt, he agreed but I don't see any until now.

I received an email from PVK and here are the email and my reply.

I bought Microtech Scarab two times from you,one never shown up and the other is half arrived. Now I'm sending pictures of the boxes I received. The one on the left is the model which I received half of it. And also a picture of the half knife just in case to avoid sending the wrong parts of the rest.
On your website it's http://216.71.158.68/webcat/scarabdefullyserratedmelonitesbt.shtml
Please let me know when you will send the package, thank you.

Hell, that's a real bummer... sorry for your troubles. That's a lot of green.

In future, try Knifeworks.com. They are geared up for international shipping and have a pretty comprehensive auto section.

Thanks for the advice, I will try knifeworks next time.

The seller said he would make up the rest of the knife and send to me. I have a question here, will parts from other microtech knife fit my knife well together?

They should be fine, I fixed up a Troodon for someone that use a blade and top slab from another knife.

You should be demanding full refunds not asking if parts from other MT's will fit. Your out $879.99 USD! You've been robbed by someone. The dealer should never have agreed to ship in seperate boxes but that is besides the point, they should be insured. You paid a lot of USD and have a lot of parts that are useless.
Wake up, send what you recieved back to him and demand a refund in full.

My friend, I can understand your frustration. I would contact the Embassy of the Netherlands and speak with the legal attache, or perhaps their police representative and determine what recouse you have. You are being a gentleman in this situation, but let me emphasize the reality here. 1) You did your bit---you paid the money. 2) He did not do what he was supposed to, and that is, get your microtech into your hands ASAP. Find out what legal remedies you have in the Netherlands. Sometimes, all it takes is a call from a police official.

I'm not trying to go against another dealer here, but being a former CC employee for my day job, you can file a dispute with your credit card company for not receiving your items if things continue to not work out. Just trying to help since that is a lot of money for half a knife.

Best of luck, J.

Edit to add: most CC companies will only wait 30-90 days for you to file a dispute, so don't wait much longer or you will lose that time.

It would seem he has wondered in to a bit of a legal grey area with the import of an auto so it might be best for him to not open that particular can of worms. One working knife is still better than no working knife, even if it is a rather expensive one. With any luck he will get it sorted out and get one, or even better, both his knives.... and not do it again.
