If you could only own 3 knives for the rest of your life...

Current favorites:

Mcnees Dixon
Hinderer Eklipse S
Les George Myna

CRK Seb Bog Oak with millet bog oak clip gifted by my wife is the one that never leaves. I like breathing.

Ask me in a week or two.
Dixon and Myna were my two most recent purchases...but now I'm waiting to try out a Spartan Harsey folder...just because.

This is the one that a gracious member is sending to me this week to help me decide if I need to own it. I have to admit to being a fan of "Leonardo".

Beautiful. Get involved lol. It takes every inch of my willpower to not fall down the Spartan rabbit hole.
Definitely on my radar. I’ve bought six knives already just this month so I need to slow down, but every time I say that I find something else I want. . .
Edited: Actually, seven, I forgot the Strider.

Same boat. I go on Viking-like pillages. Then chill for a few months. Latest— LG, Another McNees, and another CRK. Missed out on a Curtiss Cruze. Then quiet. Then BOOM…off again. Ha. I did just return a Freeman 451 with the diamond whatever (the aluminum/g-10 version is awesome) with insane button lock stick. If you can find one without the lock stick it is a worthy knife.

1. Spyderco Shaman Salt - The handle is thick(er) than most knives and the overall size fit my 2xl paw well. The upcoming Manix 2 Salt will be a close second. Been using Spydercos for decades, I love the opening hole and the finger choil.
2. Cold Steel SRK in 3V. I don't have many fixed blades to choose from. ESEE 4 S35VN would be a close second.
3. Leatherman Surge + bit set + sheath - I work in a data center, so I use the tools quite a bit. I was a boy scout. Always be prepared.

I only picked from knives I own. Otherwise, a lightsaber would be #1.

Strider has been on my radar. I vacillate. There is some history there that seriously bothers me but the knives appeal to me. Which one do you have? Thoughts? There is an authorized distributor about an hour/ 90 min from me.

I have an ESEE 4 in S35VN. I like it quite a bit, but must admit I have not really, Seriously beat on it. I'm thinking it can take a pounding, but even with the warranty don't want to abuse it. What has your experience been with it?

I’ve actually had quite a few SNG’s and SMF’s in many different configurations then little by little whittled the Strider collection down to nothing until this latest SNG again. IMG_1058.jpegIMG_1055.jpeg
