Inkosi

Do you think this will keep the lock bar from moving over with use??

Chris D.:D

I would think that you would want the lockbar to move over if there was wear on the tang. If it didn't, wouldn't blade play become possible? With CRK, however, this seems to be a non-issue.

Did i hear Anne correct....plans for a large Inkosi......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Sebenza 25 on steroids....not sure how the 25 could be more stout but with the small refinements of the Inkosi in a larger format sounds indestructible....

Def. not necessary to be beefing up the classic sebenza design....but i spose with all the knuckle heads out there abusing Chris's designs he has to keep up or get washed away....

Plus its really exciting to see what will come out of Chris's workshop next! So i guess it all works out in the end.

This may have already been answered and if so my apologies. But does anyone know if this has a pivot bushing similar to the 21's? To me that is one of the best features of Sebenza. Preforming maintenance is so much easier with it. Thanks!

The Inkosi has the large pivot, no bushing.
I like the introduction of the knife by Anne.
Thank You!
Also a big Thank's to the video. It captured a little bit of the BladeShow feeling.
Now I know for sure I need one.
Then there is one question: Isn't a large Inkosi a Sebenza 25?

Blade and handle yes, but my understanding is the different angle of the pocket clip and also the lock bar is thicker at the bottom and thins out where it locks up and holds the ceramic ball detent. And the inkosi/25 isn't the same as small/large 21 in terms of blade thickness. Where the small and large 21 both have the same blade thickness, the inkosi and the 25 don't. Those are the only differences I understand that don't truly make it a small 25.

I am stoked on the design but I believe making a knife in the middle of the Sm and Lg size would've been ideal. I can't imagine going smaller than a Sm Sebenza. Either way, I will be buying a Large when they become available as I am big fan of the design

I agree, I would like a knife that's around 3.4 for the states that don't allow over 3.5. And -3 is sometimes a bit too low. I feel the inkosi would have been perfect with the 3.4" size.

Red mag- I think this is a small 25 too:) I am very exicited about this knife, like mentioned above the little extra details are going to make this a very special addition to my collection!

My buddy and I discussed the desire for a medium with both Anne and Tim and neither really said anything about it. I guess they are tired of hearing that request they don't intend to fill. I would love one in the 3.3" range.

Tried my best to warm up to the asymmetric washer/asymmetric and loctited stop pin assembly of the 25 but wasn't successful. But those issues seem to have been completely solved with the Inkosi and Mr. Reeves solution looks mighty sound. So I'm all for a large version.

+1 to that

3" was better (or 2,94 as the small 21)

but it's interesting!

Cannot wait to see pictures and analysis of the Inkosi from users on here. I have the small sebenza 21 as my ultimate EDC blade and I am curious if the Inkosi will surpass that title.

However I feel the ceramic ball contacting the tang is somewhat weak against a full contact of heat treated Ti against a whole surface of blade tang like in the the 21.. Somehow the lock interface of the old sebenza looks superior in strength.

I'm quite curious about the blade hardness. Love to hear some confirmation that they upped the hardness since 2013. Sebenza S35 at 60 is the bees knees, no other folder is needed.
