Inkosi

I don't believe the Inkosi was conceived and designed in an hour (hyperbole), but was well thought out with prototypes/tests, etc. I'm looking forward to it and like other things in life, if I need to adjust...I will, or at least try. I understand that with large hands the grip may never work and depending on the knife usage, it may not be comfortable in demanding tasks for even possibly smaller hands. Mine are medium. I hear negatives about the 25, which I think is needed so we the consumer can make informed decisions (controversy much of the time is good), but I really like my 25 after a too long frustrating break in period. I had to adjust a bit from the expectations I had.
For me, if I ultimately don't like the Inkosi, I just won't consider another one and will view my purchase as a piece of CRK history, which my kids can enjoy. I see it as a win win.

According to the specs posted on crks website, the handles of the inkosi (3.875") are 0.06" shorter than the small 21's handles (3.935")...I highly doubt one could tell the difference in length, but I can see how the inkosi's might feel shorter due to the finger grooves...

I'm no engineer but I could tell the difference. The Inkosi is still big enough in my hand to be fine but I could tell a difference. The finger grooves though .... they do make if feel even smaller than it really is.

The word I got today is that they hope to have the first batch shipping at the end of this month and they should be in stores shortly thereafter.

The Inkosi is now available on an auction site from an authorized dealer. They are asking $450. MSRP is $370. They show 8 in stock.

Ah, actually reading the description says available on 9/30/15. Hopefully this is a sign of all dealers getting it in stock as well.

We are anxious to get these in but have not heard word from CRK about them yet. Hopefully very very soon though!

Since I'm a lefty, I put my order in with CRK soon after I heard about them. Glad I did, so I shouldn't be too far behind the release for all you righties. :)

First few from the first batch shipped yesterday according to Heather... :) So you guys who placed orders first should get them by this Saturday? Congratulations...

In stock and available now. It doesn't have a CF scale, but other CRK's there do.

ETA: I'm $375 poorer now

REQUEST:

For those of you who have an Inkosi coming, please post a nice REVIEW with comparison pics to the small 21. Thanks in advance!

Available at KnifeArt now... Really tempted... But I will wait for the CF version and maybe damascus...

Damn I'd pick one up from knife art if the CAD exchange rate wasn't so brutal right now. With shipping and import fees I'm looking at $600 CAD :(

Hopefully mine comes in this Monday. I am just a tad bit giddy with anticipation. I will definitely post my thoughts, and comparison pics with a small seb. 21
