When I spoke with Tim he said they will be making a limited production run with the graphic on the knife that will be a lottery-type drawing. The only kicker, for me anyways, is the price tag: $2500.00!! I had to ask Tim again to make sure I heard him correctly.
I noticed the web site says the hardness is 59-60 rather than the 58-59 we have always seen with Sebenzas. I asked about it and I was told they have actually been running the blades to the higher hardness since sometime in 2013 (August? He wasn't sure). They just have not updated the web page. He was surprised to hear that only the Inkosi listed the higher hardness.
The blade is 0.2" shorter than the small Sebenza, as is the handle. Those are the numbers I was told. I played with it for a while. It has some neat refinements from the 25. The stop pin is not really an interference fit on the presentation side. It slides into place. Also there is a groove in the tang where the ceramic ball rests when it locks open. This must be the enhanced stability the announcement mentioned.

The website has never been super impressive IMO.

If he was right about that then it's not just the website. The birthcards still show 58-59 or at least every one I have received (maybe 8?) since 2013. I find it hard to imagine that a company whose whole reputation rests on being detail oriented would just overlook mentioning that to anyone. I certainly could be and probably am wrong though. It would be nice to see some clarification from CRK on that.
edit: I'm talking about the hardness on the 21s of course...
Tim started working full time for the company about 6 weeks ago. He is going to be in charge of the website and sounds like he is going to be adding quite a bit to it.
Will there be a left handed version?
For something that is "NOT a small 25"...it sure as hell looks like a small 25. :![]()
A buddy of mine snapped this pic for me. ^^^^
