Inkosi

On my short list for sure! Cant wait to get one. I think it will be the perfect hard use pocket knife!

I put my order in with CRK about 2 maybe 3 weeks ago for a LH Inkosi and was told it would take about 2 months (changed to 6 months) to fill my order. I am highly anticipating this CRK. New completion date is now in December. Just in time for Christmas.

I just stumbled upon the inkosi on knifecenter. I am a huge fan of the 25, pretty excited about a small one.

I' had a few large 21s but never even handled a small 21. I've been wanting a smaller knife.

Did i hear Anne correct....plans for a large Inkosi......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Sebenza 25 on steroids....not sure how the 25 could be more stout but with the small refinements of the Inkosi in a larger format sounds indestructible....

Def. not necessary to be beefing up the classic sebenza design....but i spose with all the knuckle heads out there abusing Chris's designs he has to keep up or get washed away....

Plus its really exciting to see what will come out of Chris's workshop next! So i guess it all works out in the end.

Hell yeah that would be awesome, a tank .25.

Please tell me you guys will make this with an insingo blade on it, that would be the perfect knife.

So the burning question is: Did any BF member drop the $2500 on a prototype?
Couldn't make that figure compute in my brain. I'm satisfied waiting for my "plain jane" lefty to arrive in December.
How about you Cody? I bet you were trying to make that work for you.

It's a cool graphic, but not $2000 cool for a guy of my means. They seem to know what they can get for these, so they'll probably get picked up eventually by someone with deep pockets and "the CRK fever". Looking forward to pics when the non-protos hit the market.

Agreed, way cool graphic, but come on??? I have dropped some coinage on knives (note plural form) in the past that easily add up to that, but it wasn't just ONE knife.

My feelings exactly. The only astronomical money id pay for any CRK is a handmade from Mr Chris, and i would pay a TON of $ too. I think the pre PRODUCTION, limited, and rare CRKs have a limit.

i was able to touch and handle a Inkosi last weekend at my local knife store. I have large hands (but not long fingers) and have several sebenza 21s and a few Mnandis, both models feel comfortable in my hand. However, the few minutes that i handled the Inkosi i couldnt find a comfortable hold position, the finger grooves didnt quite fit my fingers. Could just take a while to get use to. It is smaller than a 21, you'll notice that once you hold it. I think if you never had a small sebenza and started with the Inkosi you would proabably be ok. Personally i'm looking for something diffrent in the CRK line, so maybe a Umnumzaan is in my future...

You may like the "Large Inkosi", whenever that comes out?

The grooves were my worry all along concerning a small 25, which this essentially is, and that was assuming the handle would be as long as a small 21 which this one isn't. With limited real estate on a handle that small, I don't know if I like something forcing my fingers into a certain position. Yes, if you're looking for something different in the CRK line, the Umnumzaan is a great choice.

According to the specs posted on crks website, the handles of the inkosi (3.875") are 0.06" shorter than the small 21's handles (3.935")...I highly doubt one could tell the difference in length, but I can see how the inkosi's might feel shorter due to the finger grooves...

Was this a production model you held or was it one of the first 30? I assume it was for sale...
