Inkosi

When is the Large Inkosi coming out? Or better yet a medium version in between the Lg and Sm with a 3.3 inch blade... Either way I'm sure I'll end up getting what to check them out

I ordered one from Blade HQ yesterday. Asked Anne if she could cancel my order there at CRK and told her the reason why. It won't hurt my feelings if they can't, though. [emoji4]

I ordered from KA and plan to keep a lefty ordered from CRK when it's done. I managed to learn to do well with right handed or left handed lugs.
It is funny, when i carry a righty it takes time to adjust when switching to a lefty and viceversa. It must be my old brain is getting confused.

Ah yes, the pivot screw i can see, but i was thinking the blade stop pin. Thats the one that has given me fits on my 25.

I emailed this question to CRK a couple months ago and Angela said it would be a different stop pin with no loctite.

Why would the stop pin need loctite on any knife? Isn't that screw supposed to lock completely down?

The stop pin isn't round. It has a notch in it. If the notch isn't lined up correctly blade won't open smooth.

No Inkosi for me then, that's plane ridiculous. Together with the non pivot bushing I just don't see where they were going with this. Seems like pure production cost savings to me. Sad to say. What other models has this stop pin? 25? Zan?

The 25 has a stop pin with a notch, but I thought the Inkosi is different and does not have the same alignment issue. If I recall correctly this was specifically explained to me when I was looking at it at the Blade show.

Here is the direct quote from Angela's email:

No the Inkosi does not have the same stop pin design as the Sebnza 25.
The Inkosi does have a different design that does not require the stop pin to be in a particular position to assemble correctly.
Have a great day.

In re-reading the email it doesn't specifically say no loctite, but it sure sounds like none will be needed and the underlying problem was solved.

As others have replied, the Inkosi will not share the 25's notched stop pin. I don't like the idea of a notched stop pin, but there's no way to conclude that it is a cost saving measure to require the pin to be both notched and assembled in a specific orientation - just the opposite, it would clearly cost more.
