Inkosi

What is the style name of the lanyard tied on the Inkosi, different then the Sebenza lanyard.

I believe it's a snake knot

this is my favorite knot.. first thing I do when I get a new sebenza is to remove the pocket clip and change the CRK paracord with either a digital camo or a charcoal paracord tied with this knot... :)

I appreciate all those who have posted pics and info on our new little CRK friend. I have yet to pull the trigger on one, but I think it is inevitable that I will!

I've had mine since Monday, here are my first impressions. I love the size (I wear a size L glove), it has a very beefy feel for it's size. The blade shape is perfect, fat enough for big chores and thin enough to open the mail. It is the most broken in feel out of the box of any CRK product I purchased new. I don't understand the why of the angled clip but I like it. It works in my grip and looks cool. I use a CRK pouch for carry, I have only clipped it a couple times but there were no issues. A couple very minor concerns, I like the adjustable lanyard style better than the snake knot, but I like that if I took it off there would not be a random hole. The IM stamp: CRK missed an opportunity to make it read left to right like the english language does (they did with the Umnumzaan), so that is a negative for me. BUT...it does look like it was designed to be there, that is an improvement over the 21.

Bottom line: It's the first new CRK new release that I was really fired up to get the moment it came out (waited on the Nyala, Umnum, 25 and Ti Lock) and it did not disappoint. I love it, it will get a massive amount of my carry time.

The angle of the clip was a concern of mine as well. I was afraid of how it would orient itself in the pocket after some movement i.e. sitting, standing walking. However it rides in my right front pocket nicely/vertically (not angled like I imagined) with the blade pressed firmly against the back as it should.

The grip is much more comfortable now with the clip angle imo. The tip of the clip now sits mashed in the pads of my hands near the metacarpal region and is not noticeable even in a very firm grip.

Quick question, do you really have to use thread lock (loc-tite). I know it comes with it, could be messy.

This is just as I imagined (and hoped) it would be. [bold]

The Inkosi breaks down quite easily and you definitely need the blue Loctite (non permanent) due to the blade pivot being one of the only two screws securing the knife handles. While much smaller than my beloved large Sebenza 21's and being too small for my hands I will keep it in my collection. As all CRK's this knife was very well thought out as well as engineered. Simple and built to last. I can only hope there will be a large Inkosi down the line.
The following photos show the break down for cleaning.
