Inkosi

I'm super excited. So I don't guess this is a small 25 like folks were calling it. It's a whole new family. So is the lock-up like a 21 or like a 25/Umnum?

Too small for me, but great news for all the people who like the little knives. :D

I was wondering how the ceramic ball interface was going to work with a blade stock thinner than that of the Umnumzaan and 25. I would think that a significantly thinner blade stock would take a smaller ceramic ball, or something else (a pocket in the non-lock scale for the ball to set in? Who knows?)

Either way, I have no doubt that CRK has it figured out!

I'm liking the clip idea, but wish it wasn't angled.

Of course we all like straight lines. But really the angle of the clip doesn't matter at all, it really matters how it rides in the pocket and feels in the hand.

I'm in Boise for sis' wedding and just got a very sweet tour of the shop (don't be jealous) and I beheld some unassembled Inkosi parts!:D Let me tell you how awesome they look!! I'll be first in line for one of these bad boys!

Btw, they are really great, passionate folks working at CRK! Meeting some of them and seeing firsthand how much hand work goes into each knife, how intensely dedicated Chris' employees are to detail and excellence, further backed up my respect and appreciation for their knives! Truly an impressive culture that Chris has created...and the absolute CLEANEST machine shop I've ever seen!:)

X2 love everything about it but the clip looks off

The absolute best thing about this knife is the angled clip. My one longstanding complaint about the 25 has been resolved and now we can have those 25 style ergos actually mean something. With no pocket clipped jammed in your finger, this knife is gonna melt in the hand,

Bravo CRK and getting the clip right!

Something is off a little. .128 is not 8% thicker than .125, or am I missing something?

I like it a lot!!!

This. ^

I am actually going to modify a CRK clip to make my 25 "work" in that regard. "unbend" last bend, shorten 3/16" (and round) then re-bend so the end of the clip aligns with raised part of finger notch like it does on the Inkosi (abeit one bump farther from the blade).

8% greater should make it 0.135" but I went off of the published figures from CRK website for Small Sebenza 21 and the CRK flyer for Inkosi.

Perhaps .128 is not an 8% larger number than .125, but maybe because of it changing to a large hollow grind in addition to increased thickness equals 8% more blade thickness volume overall.
