Inkosi

Yeah, and perhaps scary at the same time. I really hope that the 21 is sticking around.

I don't think we have to worry. With the 21(and the classic), specially the small imo, Chris really hit the nail on it's head regarding pocket knife perfection. I also believe the 21 is a HUGE step ahead regarding sales amongst his knives.

Why discontiniue the one item selling 80% of your knife production?

I just pre-ordered one. I really like the looks and feel of my 25, I think I'm going to like the Inkosi even more...guess I've got a thing for small Sebs.

Nailed it.

As confirmed by CRK themselves......skip to 5:00 minute mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGFjKYf06Qk

If I had a nickel for every prediction of the 21's demise on this forum I'd be rich. It might yet happen, but I'm not holding my breath. It would be the equivalent of Ford discontinuing the F150. Might as well close the doors! :D

Anyone know if there is away to get an all silver lug option. I'm not that crazy about the blue,
I tried to de-blue my 25 lugs with Never Dull but it didn't really work that well.

I have no clue. However, you read my mind on this. Silver lugs would make the Inkosi look sharp. I have de-blued:confused: lugs and backspacers with great success using a compound loaded buffing wheel on a dremel. Just tape the blade and all parts in case of a slip. The toughest part is getting the lug right next to the blade. I had success in those areas with fine steel wool and patience.

Thanks, I'll have to check and see if my dremel kit has a buffing wheel. I bought the kit awhile back and don't know if I've ever opened it - I collect tools like knives. I'm sometimes amazed to find a certain tool that I have no recollection of buying!

Well I am totally in on this one!! Love the smaller knives. Love the small 21! I think this will be a winner also.

Agreed, the 25 is my field, wood, garden carry on week ends and for the work week to have a smaller version for an office setting like the Inkosi will be great.

Im in on the preorder....hope to heck they have enough for me to get a first production....
Since if it was like the Seb 25, i really loved the first batch and the changes went down hill from there for me anways...

Fyi, my first batch is still holding number 1 for carry.

I was planning to hold out and pick one up when available with inlays (Micarta). But now that I think about it, I can't help but wonder if the Inkosi will ever have inlays because of the way the clip is offset; it would almost have to rest on the inlay.

The clip on the Mnandi rests on the inlay so I doubt it would be an issue with the Inkosi.

"Resting over" may be a better way to describe it, since the clip on the Mnandi doesn't actually touch the inlay in its natural position.

I'm so in, but I'm guessing left hand models are a ways out. Took awhile for lefty 25. I hope CRK tools up for us minorities.

Mmmmm new CRK goodies. I'll buy one. While rummaging through my knife drawer I saw my no longer carried/used strider PT. I've no doubt that the Inkosi will strike my fancy, but hopefully it holds a rightful place amongst the others. Though I've never been one for small chunky knives (like the Techno) I've noticed over the past year how nice a slightly fuller handled small sebenza would be in hand. I've always wanted a new and improved Umfaan - maybe this is the best compromise.

Hmmm. Not sure about this one, but will I get one????.... Of course. We all will. Don't fool yourselves.

Yeah, that's probably the case for me as well. I hope the proportions of the blade/handle are in line with the 25 or 21s. That was the first thing that drew me to CRKs in the first place.

I couldn't find a way to email you directly but if you are interested in selling the PT let me know. Mozdrilla AT gmail DOT com.

Any word on a release date? I hope they have some regular production runs at Blade.

I asked CRK about a release date and at this time they didn't have one. They only mentioned the limited run ones being offered at Blade. I sure hope they do have some production ones so we can get a nice pictorial review from one of our fellow CRK'ers who are going to Blade!!

This is my first post! I already have a small seb 21 plain which suites me well for EDC carry. No complaints. Also has a clip point blade which is also works good. Just have to be smarter than the knife. Blade design is over rated between the insingo and clip point. Its pure looks in my opinion. :) This new small "fatty" does look cool tho. I cant wait to see one.
