Inkosi

I've signed on for notification for it to become available. Any chance there is going to be a Wilson Combat version? What is the timing for these decisions? I'd love to get one with the Star pattern.

Just stopped by the booth. They said shipping would probably be around September. I like it but if you have large hands you may have a problem. Feels a good bit smaller in hand than the small Sebenza to me. YMMV

Thanks for the heads up on this Inkosi. My small sebenza 21 is about as small as I would want in my hand.

Thanks for pic! Cant wait to see side by side with 25 and in hand. Seems a little small for me:( Would love to have a reason to buy tho:cool:

It is bigger than I expected. GREAT little knife and I definitely will be getting one.

I took these with CRK's permission this morning. Next to a small Sebenza and in hand. I wear a medium/large Mechanix glove. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433598246.198301.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1433598268.075648.jpg

Cool! Looks like you made it to Blade this yr, prob see ya there next yr. Damn, now im dying to hold one!

Nice pics! Wow, it looks great...thicker more stout than 21. Lol prob will have to get one eventually.

I agree, but I just wish that the blade was on pair with the small sebbie in lenght. It's clearly a fair bit shorter.

The Inkosi is really nice. I would definitely get one if I was into smaller knives.

It's not perfectly lined up in the picture. It seems to be about .25 inches shorter. I don't think I'd notice in real world use and it does remove any doubt with under 3" blade laws.

Just left BLADE.... I touched it and I liked it ;)

I freaked out and said, whoa is that a small 25?!?

Ann corrected me on the proper name but in my world it is a small 25. Excellent by the way!

I played with one for a good while today at BLADE. They had a little box with one disassembled inside so you could see all the parts. The knife was to the perfect size. My only tiny issue is the finger grooves didn't like up perfectly with my fingers so one of them poked me in the meaty part of my middle finger. It is a bit sharp too so it initially felt uncomfortable. After fondling it for 10-15 minutes while talking with Anne it felt better. I will definitely be getting one. I also asked when they would be shipping. Anne said end of August or early September was their goal. Fast forward a little and we were talking with Tim and my buddy asked him if there would ever be an Insingo version. He indicated there might be one in the future but it wasn't on the radar at the moment as they were just trying to get these out the door at the moment.

Size is a little smaller than the small classic I had in my pocket but not a huge difference. It really felt great and was a little beefier than the small.

Anne and Tim were awesome to talk to. Both very down to earth folks and genuinely friendly. Tim gave us a couple of patches.

Poor Anne poked herself in the hand or arm (can't remember which now) on one of the Sebenzas in the case while we were talking and started to bleed. That's how sharp and pokey the knives were. :D

The blade is 0.2" shorter than the small Sebenza, as is the handle. Those are the numbers I was told. I played with it for a while. It has some neat refinements from the 25. The stop pin is not really an interference fit on the presentation side. It slides into place. Also there is a groove in the tang where the ceramic ball rests when it locks open. This must be the enhanced stability the announcement mentioned.

I noticed the web site says the hardness is 59-60 rather than the 58-59 we have always seen with Sebenzas. I asked about it and I was told they have actually been running the blades to the higher hardness since sometime in 2013 (August? He wasn't sure). They just have not updated the web page. He was surprised to hear that only the Inkosi listed the higher hardness.

When I spoke with Tim he said they will be making a limited production run with the graphic on the knife that will be a lottery-type drawing. The only kicker, for me anyways, is the price tag: $2500.00!! I had to ask Tim again to make sure I heard him correctly.
