Intros all around

I`m John, 55 years old, currently unemployed after 37 years. I`ve been married for 21 years, and have a 30 yr old stepdaughter, a 25 yr old stepdaughter, and a 25 yr old daughter. Also a 12 yr old grandson, a 6 yr old grandaughter, and a 4 yr old grandaughter. I enjoy shooting my guns, and love to fish when I can. I also enjoy making knives, and have the greatest wife in the world for letting me pursue this.
(and apparently I`m one of the oldest guys here)

I'm Anthony - just turned 31 and have a son and wife.

We enjoy everything outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping and just enjoying what mother nature has to offer. I work in an effin' office all day long doing boring crap and looking to make a career change VERY soon.

I really don't have too many pictures of me so here's one a bit far away, as to not scare you :)

Pleased to meet everyone! My name is Gary, 45 years old and getting ready to re-marry. Full time teaching martial arts (taijiquan, xingyiquan, Shaolin and yiquan). In spare time, I train MA more. Go into woods everyday with my dog and presently working on learning wilderness skills from this forum. I'm also putting together gear for longer wilderness outings (my girlfriend is into the outdoors too).
Not to get too OT here, but how do I post pictures? I'm terrible with technology. If I have photos in photobucket, how do I get them onto this site/page?
And I'm also very interested in the other martial art practitioners in this area of NJ, NYC. What styles do you train, and always enjoy sharing info with other martial artists.
On a side note, I completely avoid the MA forums. Nothing but BS, arguing and false challenges. I was ready to give up on forums and then found this blade forum, nicest people ever. Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity!:D

Hi all. I guess I'm one of the newer guys here so here goes. My name is Billy, I am 40 years old and I live in SE Florida where I am an ops director for a small ad agency. I am a knife nut that really enjoys the beach and waveski surfing (cross between a surfboard and a kayak). My wife and 10 year old daughter are not much for the outdoors (other than the beach) so I don't get "out bush" much but I do enjoy the local bass fishing. I did however, grow up in northwestern NJ where camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and shooting were part of everyday life. This forum has really rekindled that spark in me and I am beginning to think I need to get out for some primitive camping down here.

Hi Gary. Here's how you do it. In your album page on photobucket, place your cursor over the thumbnail of the picture you want to post. A little pop-up menu should appear, with strings of code. Click on the code next to the caption "IMG Code". It should automatically copy the string. Then, all you have to do is paste it into your reply on Bladeforums.

Alternatively, you can click on the picture you want in photobucket, then look at the right side of the screen, where there is a list of options for "image link code". Then copy the "IMG Code" code and paste it into your post.

Hope that helps,

- Mike

Ok! My name is Lee, I'm 23 and currently I'm finishing up my last year of school in Criminal Justice/Criminology. I'm also ready to start EMT-B school Jan. 13 so keep your fingers crossed for me. :p I really enjoy the outdoors in general, but dayhikes and fishing are my real passions. I just like to wander. Like some others here, I sort of enjoy sharp knives and loud guns... :o

Here's a picture of me when I had long hair (and getting some puppy love)

I guess theres room for one more ugly mug...:p

Real name is Chris. I'm 39, born and raised in an urban hell (Detroit). Now live in a suburb of.

Married with two kids. My son is 19 and will be heading off to the Navy in July. My daughter is 14 and hopes to become a professional photographer.

I work for DuPont as a color and technical specialist for their automotive refinish paints. It keeps me busy with lots of travel. When I'm home, I like fishing, camping, boating/canoeing, biking, tinkering with knives, and do some shooting when I can.

Since there are a couple bicycle fans here, I'm currently in the process of restoring an early 80's Takara 10-speed road bike. Just need to lace it up with some new cables and new tires/tubes.

Fishing a small pond in South Georgia in the rain.

Hey All!

My name's Rob. I'm 27 and born and raised in Chicagoland. I work in the medical devices industry as a business analyst specializing in software rollouts. I've been married for 2 years.

I work out daily with my wife. We're both working our asses off to un-fat ourselves. I keep a blog to track my progress here http://noshtero.blogspot.com/. I've lost about 60 pounds so far, but still have 25-30 to go.

I like to get out in the woods as much as I can, though sadly that doesn't happen as often as I'd like. I'm big into knives, not so much into guns, which is nice because generally knives are cheaper :)

Other than that, I play bass guitar and sing harmony vocals for the band Bad Decisions (I'm sure you've heard of us ;) ).

My name is Alan. I'm 37, in my eighth year of marriage, and father of a 2 1/2 year old daughter. Professionally, I'm a high school Latin teacher (and so is my wife, coincidentally). I dabble in all sorts of hobbies, but I especially enjoy motorcycles; particularly moto-touring and moto-camping. Obviously, I also like general outdoors loafing and all the associated toys and gear. I have been gradually trying to push my armchair interest in bushcraft more and more into practice over the past couple of years, thanks in no small part to the folks here.

Tim here. I'm 42 as of Monday, married with 2 daughters, one 15 going on 25 and one 3 year old. I run my own business providing mapping services to cities, utilities etc. Done lots of different things in life, been a soldier, diver, worked in a lumberyard, mapped trails for the USFS.

Enjoy all things outdoors, though lately I've been big into survival skills, backpacking and trail running.

Here's a pic from a Grand Canyon trip a few years ago.

My name is Mike. I'm 40. I can't shoot lightning out of my arse, but I can show the beauty in anything. I kind of have a background in botany and Renaissance art history, and I photograph the outdoors for a living. Here's a picture of me at the office:

You can see a sampling of what I do, here:
