I also run a Youtube channel and do what I can with my videos, although my channel doesn't have 92K views like Mike's does. Great videos UltraReef. I like the bail out knife video and my favorite videos that have been put on the channel so far are the ones documenting the trip to the Vegas knife show.

Will Snody ever do a real cribs edition where he actually shows off his house in the style of MTV cribs? That would be interesting to see.

Thanks! We are heading that direction, I think it might be more of along the lines of documenting some kind of party or fiesta. Thanks for your input. :D
 
This video is still getting lots of hits long after it's release....and it's one of my favorites. Kinda spells out Mike's philosophy on life and work and includes lots of South Texas scenery. :D

I don't know the guy but you can tell from his vids and stuff he's a good guy. AND, if he ever needs a fishing partner I'm in! I want give those reds and some snook a shot.

1) Never once heard Snody accused by anyone of copying their ideas without permission!

2) Never saw Snody publicly throw another maker under the bus while selling a knife that looks practically identical to one of theirs.

3) Never saw Snody talking smack about a style of knife and the public being 'duped' into buying it, only to start making one or more versions of it.

4) Never saw Snody talking smack about a certain steel, later to begin using it himself.

5) Never saw Snody send an apologist shill to the forums to further confuse the issues.

6) Never heard of Snody threatening a (then) living hero the likes of a Col. Rex Applegate!

7) Never heard A.G. Russell, a man in the knife world I respect, talk badly of Mike Snody!
 
That wasn't the point, however. The point was that both individuals engage in marketing that is offensive to some, and that this marketing is a means to an end.
 
The man is a genius with steel...... Mr. Snody truly appreciates his customers and shows this by being very accessible. He also puts out some great bargains.......especially in the custom knife world. Here are 2 such examples:

Snody may have a little gangsta lean to him, but as long as the man continues to make knives I'll be there for him.

Mike's products speak for themselves, and he gets about 99% of my business when it comes to custom knives and gear... and for what its worth, I've been watching, subscribing, rating, commenting, and most importantly, enjoying his youtube vids for a while now.

Bottom line is Mike puts out a great product and is free to market it in any way he pleases, as far as I'm concerned.. Its not doing any harm to anybody. If you choose to avoid his product because of your dislike for a youtube video, than its your loss and somebody else's gain, because the product will sell one way or another (hopefully to me).

It's an insult to any honest knfemaker to be compared to Cold Steel.

I also hate you because you take such god-danged sweet pictures......

I think owning Mike Snodys gear is like the equivilent of being in a gang (brotherhood) anyway, cause anyone who owns Snody gear is GOOD in my book. I am not gangsta in the slightest, but I am down for the man and his crew any day, anytime.......
