Whats keepin ya?I am a long time online seller with 100% positive feedback on eBay and I dont need the high school testerone fueled drama.
It doesnt matter much, Ill only be buying from the store from now on. At least there they wont assume a sale until they receive payment. Heck I bet I could call and cancel an order the next day and they wouls still take a new order later.

I, and many others I'm sure saw the original post. I have been looking for trades and came across the post just as he posted it. It was worded "I'll take it" so I moved on. Later I saw the thread was still active and found that he had edited to retract. I knew drama would ensue as we all know (or should) "I'll take it" means "I'll take it" and if you don't take it a retraction is one of the top things on the list of what not to do.
I would agree, but I never declined to take it, the offer was retracted. I would have no problem with all of this if he had waited until I did not complete the sale, but I had every intention of doing so barring a really small chance. The mistake I made was saying anything before I sent the payment, he would have been here singing my praise. Like I said no bigge, I understand the cult / mob mentality at work here, it's not a big deal.

Guys, enough. As many time you said to him: "you're in the wrong"
he replied: "no, I'm not"
nothing is gonna change - might as well close the thread
I never said I wasn't wrong, I was wrong, and I have no problem with that.
The issue I have is that offer was retracted before I could make good on it even though I was clear that I almost certainly would, that after simply removing my offer from the sales thread, I was then called out as a flake. Then as I tried to respond in that same thread where it's OK to call someone a flake, the same person can not respond in their defense without a mod to be called in and then this thread started all in some childish attempt to smear my reputation for something that really never happened. It's all childish bullshit.
someone who knows they were wrong does not defend themself as vigorously as you have attempted to do.
besides, i thought you were going to leave us to our testosterone driven mob mentality.
I can well understand the general view taken, and I respect that. The fact of thee matter is that I didnt back out of the deal, it was revoked because he didnt like the fact that I was up front and honest about a 1 in 1000 shot on another knife that was probably already sold. If I hadnt said anything about it , it would not have been an issue. I was prepared and planning to buy the knife and the offer was revoked from me a few hours later.
Wouldnt it be prudent to at least wait for the back out to occur before branding someone, revoking the offer, calling a moderator, and starting this thread? A few hours is all I asked.
I guess I will just have my account deleted, no point in wasting any more time here. Well played Dave, you win, bravo and all that. I harbor no ill will to you (even though you apparently do me from the tone of all your emails and postings here) or anyone else here.
Take care and stay safe,
Tim
I probably would have apologized accept for Daves attitude from the begining. I asked another seller to send me some pics and Daves first email to me was threatening he saw that and that I better not back out. I said that Dave replied first so I was taking his but there was a long shot on a different style I was looking at and I would have payment to him with a few hours. He replied the offer was revoked.
And what the hell is there "not to be trusted" about exactly? So if I post Ill take it on someone else's sale item, they won't believe me until they receive payment? Lol, that is hilarious. They should assume the same from anyone. I guess you all normaly ship it without payment? What is this SPF I see so much of, isn't the seller waiting for payment confirmation? Are all the sellers contacting the buyers and making damn sure they aren't looking at anything that may cause them to not honor their "commitment" signed in blood?
You all need to get out more.
Your right, you know better than I do what the chance was that I wasn't going to buy his knife and now you know better than I do how I feel.
your posts are getting more and more nonsensical.
