A.P.F. Yea we keep talking about a dedicated forum here, possibly in the future.

I don't blame you, I have to wait for next month, but I have discovered a JYD II at LeBarons in Quebec. Looks like a fair price too. :)

@ Thomas - I'll look forward to a forum for sure. Perhaps if I buy enough Kershaws... ;)

P.S. - Does anyone know if the Splinter was/is an assisted opening model?

Regards,

Al

My Scallion is my everyday beater. Kershaw sent me a new one when my torsion bar lost its zip.

Super KUDOS to Kershaw/Kai Warranty Service! I sent my Gray Ti Bump in to have the framelock tuned and it arrived at Kershaw last Thursday. I just now got it back in my hands and am very satisfied with it. Man that was fast. I guess there's a reason that I have more Kershaws than any other brand. Thomas, tell your warranty department thanks for the good work and great turn around time!

The Junkyard Dogs and Groove have finally shipped!!! These are great knives, and I will post some better pics later. What do ya'll think? I included a Leek for scale.

nygiantsfan3342,

Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm pretty sure that my next knife purchase will be the JYD. May I ask you to post a picture about the lockup? Thanks in advnce.

so have the jyd's hit the street yet?
and whats the news about the zdp ti cyclone
i want one dang it

JYD's are shipping in limited production, so they may be a bit tough to find, but a few hundred are out there. Full production over the next few weeks.

Ti/ZDP Mini Cyclone, a few hundred by month's end, and the balance by mid/end of March.

I have the Blackout model 1510. I am thinking of getting a new Avalanche. With the exception of the blade steel and handle material do both of these knives have the same blade geometry?

What about the "Needs Work", when will we see them out, and what exactly is the handle material, what could it be compared to? Also, will there be any upgraded steel versions to come?

The Need's Work is being assembled as we speak, and should be hitting the streets within a week. The handle material is Polyimide.
There may be some higher end Need's Work variations(I think that is what you are asking) in the future, but nothing is slated at this time.
