A better analogy would be how car shows operate. manufacturers reveal new products that they intend on releasing in the next year or 2 as well as prototypes that may be 10 years from production. They do this to show off new technology and ideas(ie. all the alt. fuel vehicles that are in production today were debuted as prototypes many years prior to making their way to a dealers showroom)

I can wait in line for my tilt, if I'm lucky enough to get one at all.

By the way, I would like to address your comment that you don't think you should post pictures of a knife "in progress." I can only speak for myself on this. But your progress photos are what have kept my faith and interest over the last year. This kind of communication is an important part of why I'm such a fan of your company. Please don't take that away.

The only thing worse than waiting well over a year for a knife is waiting over a year for a knife and never receiving any updates along the way. The bottom of the knife world's ocean is full of makers who sunk their ships with poor communication.

Regardless, I only got annoyed after waiting patiently for a year and at long last hearing from a lot of sources that July was finally the time. When July came and went, I felt compelled to post.

Also, interesting (albeit brief) discussion of the nature of Blade, and how it's more analogous to car shows than to entertainment awards like the Oscars. Makes sense to me. :)
 
Almost time I guess. Nice to see the tilt coming full circle. It will be a release worth waiting for.
