55 came in today. Nice knife! Backed off the blade tension a bit now its smooth as silk.

As far as spare parts go, I would like a bearing set if this is going to be improved upon or changed going forward.
And an xtra clip might be nice. It scares me a bit how it snaps when pulled from the front pocket of my Levi's.

Just mentioning it. Not saying either will be a problem, but would be nice knowing there were a few spares out there.

BTW, great knife. 1st Kershaw in 10 yrs. Have been at this a while.......

Bearing sets and Ti clips are not free (nor cheap) for this knife. I'm not sure why you think you'll need more when the knife has been great so far. The snapping sound is just a very well made clip...
 
I agree. I was not saying they should be free. Just thinking of consumable parts.
And you are right, the clip seems very strong. Sometimes I will replace them when they get nicked up after yrs of use.
My comments were not meant to be negative. The fit & finish is right up there with custom made knifes.
 
Has anyone heard when Dave is getting more of these bad boys? Its getting harder and harder to wait! I want to get this purchase done because I also want to buy a new handgun!:p
 
Well I just bit the bullet and purchased one off of the Bay. Quite a bit over street price, but I want one bad. I will still more than likely buy another one off of Dave when they become available. I will post my thoughts when I get it!

Slightly hefty price to pay to ensure I get one, but what can you do really. I am to damn impatient and don't want to wait :D. It will all be worth it when its in my pocket!
 
Dave said in an email that's it's probably going to be a long wait for the rest of his order, and I'm way down on the list.
 
Thats kinda what I figured. I preordered in or around May, so I missed the boat by about a year... I think the extra $100 or so dollars I spent will be worth it to get ahold of one now!

Yeah, if the Volt, Speedform, ZT 0551, various Spyderco sprints, etc. are any guide, they'll be going for well over MSRP within 6 months to a year of when the last of them sells out.
 
I can wait to get mine from Dave, he said I should get one, and if I don't I will pay whatever it takes to get one.
 
Thomas, I am proud to announce that I have broken myself from constantly flipping the Tilt. I went from ~300 flips a day to under 30. Not bad. Should make the knife last much longer. :D
 
Just picked up my Tilt at the post office. Thomas, you guys hit a home with this one. I don't think this is going to leave my pocket!

Or is there a pocket equivalent of a safe queen?
For some reason, a pocket queen doesn't quite sound right.
